Kakashi finds himself watching Iruka any time he's around and thinking of him before missions. When Iruka forgets a locket with a photo of him and his parents at the memorial rock, Kakashi picks it up and is slow to return it. Eventually he has Asuma give it back to Iruka, tipping him off on the one-sided interest. Later, when Kakashi gets back from a mission gone bad, Asuma drags Iruka to his bedside.
