This is a good manga. However, I do feel that the novel is just superior in this case. Sometimes the manga version of a novel will be superior because of different pacing and utilization of great images that just enhances the story. Similar things can happen in an anime if truly done right, like "seto no hanayome" where the anime version was better. The energy is just different.

While this manga was nice, it just didn't feel as good as the novel version. It was harder to get immersed and the images didn't serve to enhance the experience. I still find it to be a worthwhile read but if you're not averse to novels, just go and read the novel instead, far more chapters are out there and it's just better on every level.
