SoL with a nice romance on top though it isn't the focus for most of the manga. be sure that wherever you read it has the half chapters/extras (6.5/11.5/15.5/etc) as they are important to the story.

the ending was a bit lacking, but what else is new ?

I gave it a 7, but just barely, I mean if you judge it as a romance story then this is sorely lacking in further developments, I mean it ends at step 1.
But I guess this isn't really a romance manga, it's more about the MC and his way of life, it shows that you accomplish a lot with kindness and that it's a stronger motivator than any other behavior. I guess it's more of a comedy ? or maybe slice-of-life ?

Anyway, the story was good but it ended too early, but if it continued then it would have had to shift more if not entirely to romance, which would have be just fine with me, but some people really hate that.

His life hacks did get a bit old though and I don't even know how many of them are true, specially the pressure point ones.

I liked all the characters, although they didn't get much development, not even the MC, I mean we never even found out what his main job was or why his father isn't in the picture, which is kinda basic stuff, or even his age. The most development went into Mito-chan, she was definitely my favorite.

There were at least 3 things I didn't like about it, I don't wanna spoil anything, but I'll give you some clues, one had to do with permissions timing, the other with the rush to the airport and the last is lack of intimacy. There are some extras I couldn't find, maybe those would have fixed the last issue.

Anyway, it was a fun read, it's short so it will only take an afternoon to finish it, it was time well spent, so I recommend it, having the wrong expectations from it is the only way not to like it.

Also how the h*ll does this not have an anime adaptation ? specially with all the yakuza babysitting stuff being popular right now. This is right up that alley and it would make for a great anime, specially if the animation studio gave it a better/fuller ending.

The wholesomeness I get from this manga I've gotten from many others, examples being Mr. Villains day off and Kawai Complex, but I guess it's because of the character concept and us seeing how the characters come in and learn about our mc that gives it such a specific draw idk. I admit it ain't that hard to crack me but I didn't expect to cry twice and tear up three times reading this manga (only 30 chaps out as of this comment, will cry more) but I did. Read it for the mc and how the environment plays off of our mc, if somehow you don't like it off chapter one I'd suggest moving on. Love this manga hope it gains more traction soon
