I really just don’t know what to think. On one hand the story is beautiful and the storytelling is truly unique and refreshing. Saying anything more would be a spoiler but I sincerely appreciated how we started at the beginning, erased it, started again, erased that, and still found out slightly the true beginning that didn’t exist at all! Confusing, haha, but it makes so much sense when reading it and I loved the flow of the story most of all.

The art is simple and yet pleasing, and I loved most of the characters. I do really wish that had been more of a bond between some of the characters (mainly the princess and the magician) and don’t mistake me for saying I just wanted more romance… Romance or not, I don’t care, I wanted to see their relationship develop because it seemed to be going that way from the beginning, but if nothing comes of it doesn’t that leave a sort of unsatisfying feeling? And although I was moved, I couldn’t buy into him and the person he really would sacrifice everything for. Ehhhh their relationship fell kind of flat in my opinion, but there’s no doubt that I love the reality-defying, soul-crushing affection that refuses to die even after death and loss of self. Anyways I heart Izmir and Phanysteria, help I can’t remember her difficult name. I think his love for her was one of the sweetest I have ever read and I’m being so completely honest right now. It most certainly helped that he had such an amazing personality too.

I think this work is very underappreciated and I can’t believe there aren’t any reviews! It’s very serious in its tone and tragic without being a total angst drama fest (well maybe a bit), and I wish the ending had been clearer because what happened to the others?? But even so I don’t regret reading it.
