...is incredibly unattractive. He honestly looks like a background/npc character with zero memorable physical characteristic, traits or personality.

I'm a shallow bitch but when I'm reading romance or drama I expect the male lead to be at least swoon-worthy. The woman can look any kind of way...even if this female lead looks 10 yrs old most of the time, just, ugh but whatever. ..I don't generally care since I tend to find all types of adult women attractive.

The FL is at times inconsiderate, bratty, spineless, cowardly and instead of trying to get away from her abusive family or figuring out her life, she goes to drink at bars and stuff, drowning her sorrows with money she does not have.

Her best friend tries to help her, even giving FL her credit card but ends up suffering because the FL is so incompetent.

FL tries to return the help by substituting at the friend's work place but performs very, VERY poorly. She ends up getting her friend fired...even if it's, technically, the ML who is the one trying to cut off FL's avenues of escape. Because he owns the hotel the friend works at.

ML is a rapist. What the hell are morals anyway?

Dude does not ask for her consent when he has sex with her.

Hell, the 1st time she was so drunk she doesn't even remember him; she thought she hired a male prostitute...which STILL does NOT absolve him of his revolting actions since he was sober. The second time she was drugged by someone else and he took advantage of that.

The 3rd time she's raped by him she is, again, drunk off of her ass and literally throwing a tantrum at the bar, demanding that ML marry her. AGAIN THE RAPE IS NOT HER FAULT.

But this scene clearly shows she was a filthy rich but very spoiled and clueless girl. Worse, she still acts like it. She seems to have forgotten she's not in ancient times and men do not control women anymore. She's a modern day woman with agency...who refuses to rub 2 brain cells together.

FL's blood uncle: "Marry or not, it's not up to you to decide."

Bitch, what? This story does not take place in an alternate parallel universe, I don't think. So, how can he get away with being able to say dumb shit like this? He can't but FL is too fucking stupid. At this point, I feel like I'm getting gaslit, too. I don't understand. There are laws and shit, even in China.

She's being a horrible, bratty bitch in the club, calling her helpless best friend to come and commiserate with her because she won't leave her awful family.🙄😒 The friend then calls the ML. All because her uncle is "forcing" her to marry some old dude who is the father of her rival.

Uh...she could just walk away from her family? Cut off all contact? China is a vast country with a crazy big population. She can so very easily disappear. It's not that hard.

All in all, FL's best friend is amazing and ML is lucky he has a wonderful mom. The only 2 people I like.
