If you like your 'moe' with a little cute on the side, then this is for you.
Welcome to Nyan Cafe is a series of short arcs involving cat-boys who work at a cafe. And when i say "work", i mean they act more like hosts e.g. entertaining customers, getting attention, acting cute. Nothing terribly exciting happens. They play with toys, interact with each other and do what any neko would do: act cute.
The story revolves around a new member called Shiro. Shiro gets adopted by the owner, meets the other cats at the cafe, learns how to act for customers aaaand that's about it. The plot is next to none. Sure there is a little story thrown in there but mainly it's just 2-5 page arcs over little events like taking a bath, getting a new toy, meeting the girl-cats next door, etc
This manga is pure fan service for anyone who likes cat-boys. The art is amazing. Fresh designs with clean lines and shading and cute, oh my god cute! When Shiro was playing with a paper bag I lost it laughing. Anyone who has a cat can relate to how much cats love the simplest things.
Don't expect much from this for you will surely be disappointed. Instead come into this with the intentions of having a little giggle over the events and a gawk at the cuteness overload from the characters.
Also, I'll just add: I found it a little confusing to read as the panels read from top-right down to top-left down. Not like a typical manga from right to left, then down.
