I very much enjoyed this manga - it made me laugh, and had some depth to it. Not too much, admittedly, but enough to balance it out.

This manga was also very, very hot. I wasn't expecting it - but something about the expressionless Asukara and the cute Kotarou really seem to work together.

I thought it would be a silly story but no... It's actually really good! No forced sex/rape, arrogant characters at all!! A+++!!! Read this if you want to read something a cute, heart-warming story!!! I am loving Nabako sensei even more! Her art is not the best but that doesn't mean it's not cute or pretty.

Asakura-san is a salaryman that is married to his work and has shown no interest in women. When a friend suggests he contact an agency that supplies people with escorts (of a sort), Asakura reluctantly complies. As fate would have it, Kotarou finds himself desperately in need of money to pay off an enormous debt, and so he is hired by the escort service in time to be sent to Asakura to become his cat.

Kotarou's attitude and denial kind of got on my nerves over time. I dunno... it just seemed too dragged out and over-dramatic whenever he thought about his feelings on Asakura and the job. Asakura was exactly the opposite and was so aloof, so I guess I can't blame Kotarou for having his doubts. Asakura's catboy fetish probably didn't help Kotarou much either. I wonder if Asakura could be classified as a pet-o-phile. At least the cat was safe.

Generally, I'm not a big Kamo Nabako fan. Her art isn't really that great in my opinion. Some of her semes like Asakura tend to look really mean for some reason (must be the eyes, I guess). Her ukes are okay. Her kittens are perfect. She could draw a manga entirely made up of kittens and I'd totally buy it. Gah, so cute!

I Surprised Myself

This mangaka has a talent: She has taken a type of yaoi (cutesy, comedic and light) that doesn't appeal to me and dazzled me! It was more than just sex, sex and more sex.

The Story:
There was a plot, a simple one albeit, but it was there and that is important to me. She covered a very basic theme but it wasn't boring; rather, it was done in a way that affected me. Everyone wants to be loved for WHO they are, not who the other person fantasizes them to be. (Although fantasy play acting sure was fun in this fetish story!)

I even got all watery-eyed when Cat-Boy was heart broken, thinking that he was only wanted for his 'cat' persona. The ending was touchingly sweet without be over-the-top gagging in saccharine.

I love the line where the seme is touched that Cat-boy doesn't ask anything from him. That one sentence speaks volumes about the Seme's motivations and personality formation. Cat-boy is just full of tender innocence. (But he DOES accept prostitution easily. . .hmmm. Was that denseness on his part? LOL.)

The Art:
I love the art scenes with the two of them snuggled up on the bed! Awww. The sex progression was HAWT. I loved it. My only complaint with the entire manga was two items about the art. 1. The seme's face was too expressionless and 2. the uke was distractingly and disturbingly anoerix-like skinny.

I know it was part of the seme's personality to be cold, but even when he was in the heat of 'passion?' C'mon! He was so stiff. I think the story would have had more BANG to the emotions if the facial expressions on the seme were more emotional, rather than mostly stoic.

Most unusual story! Fun.
