i've been an svid Bleach reader since it began been published, and it turned out to be one of the best mangas i've ever read, the protagonist was unlike any other shonen character at that moment, maybe an archetype anything but new but it was really different and unseen in shonen mangas, the co-protagonist rukia was too unlike it's homologues, yet even with all those pros by its side; the complex characters, setting, art and management between all of those bleach came to face a great problem most shonen stories face at one time, it became Famous !!!, when i started reading bleach there was only about TWO !!, you heard me; TWO WEBPAGES !!! in the whole internet that talked about bleach, now bleach has thousands and thousands of pages dedicate solely to it. and as i was telling you many shounen stories often get famous and when this particular thing happens, they tend to tone down they're storylines, they make them "more appealing" and include some forced pseudo-plot material into they're stories, as an example the typical "Nakama" in the shounen stories, even tough i don't find the reinforcement and propagation of Moral values like solidarity and friendship to be something bad, it just doesn't fit in many stories, most of shounen titles tend to spread this kind of moral values due to their demographic, but as i said before, many stories aren't fit for this, bleach for example, has a main character whose now-common use of the word nakama seems as alien as aliens do are, but that's not all, many plot points from shounen are injected into those hope and promising new stories like bleach to make them more profitable, the usual, enemy-turned friend, the hard trainig worth the victory and such, and here is where i come to my resolution, even after being infected with those reputable "mechanized and strange limbs" (not a reference to FMA) bleach remains the most original and rich plot series today, kubo tite always finds a way to give the best out of himself even when pushed back by those regrettable materials, the story keeps it's dark tone impregnated in it's background, the characters still seem to have what's theirs and the art has so much improved since the beginning, so to sum it up, bleach nowadays isn't as good as it was first, but it is still the best thing around.
