I find the story very interesting, even though it's nothing new in the killing games genre. I'm not really fond of gory shonen, I prefer seinen by far, but this one hit the spot pretty good! Thanks to its pretty common but interesting storyline, you can see that it still has a lot to offer, which makes it kind of addicting, as long as you can like/identify with the characters. It's thrilling and keep you hooked!
The art is not really the greatest, it does its job though.

Overall it's a great read since I got addicted at the first chapters, and I think that it still has a lot to offer, especially if it keeps to the shounen/gory genre, and does not drift too much into comedy...

made me freakin' addicted. I'm not into gore, but I can read any type of manga anyway, and so far this one is amazing.

the main character and his transformed self are interesting. on the other side, the story and art are also awesome and loveable. I can't wait for the next chapters.

OMFG, wishing I can understand chinese more.

I know I'm pretty biased this time. First and foremost, before I begin to read a story, I have to like the art, and so far this one was pretty awesome. The plot is somewhat unique... although murder games are kinda... well, I won't say common, it's there... but more like, it's hard to come by a really good one.

I agree that the filler chapters make no sense... they're extras that attempt to lighten the mood... and it did a half-assed job of doing so because the people who are reading up to this part are happy for it because of the gore and the insanity that comes packed with the whole idea ... of having to survive while deadly monsters attempt to kill you / your own classmates attempt to murder you.

Either way, I'm pretty happy with the gore.

I say the story has a lot of potential. My rating is 9.5 as of now but it might go lower because I still don't see a lot of plot development.

There are a lot of questions that are left unanswered and once the story begins to explain why exactly:
...the main character has an alter-ego that calls him master/commander/boss, why there's a school that reminds me of deadman wonderland, and why and how they're given powers... (= big WTF. )

will make or break the series.

The most likely reason why the deaths aren't noticed is because... no one begins to suspect until it's too late to speculate. They could make the connection that it's because of the school they were sent to... but think about it, if such a school exists... then wouldn't it be easy for the ones in power (probably the government officials, a graduate who has the power of memory manipulation, monsters from blight... etc) to control the protests and keep it under wraps?

_ I like blood and gore. I love the plot. The characters.... they are developing... kinda. I wish for some more growth... especially on the main character. He shouldn't turn into someone that needs constant protecting/saving by his alter ego. because one... that would raise the shounen-ai factor ___ which is good too... TWO, on the serious side, he IS the main character... so he's not allowed to become some wimpy useless damsel all the time. From one of the covers... i think he was once depicted as a ruler... his costume in the "dead world inside his own mind" -.- is cute. adorable. he looks like a girl. but it looks like he's some sort of Chinese noble. or w/e. -... too mysterious. gah. I really want to read the next chapters... because the questions are piling up and I WANT ANSWERS.

i agree that reading this is pretty frustrating if you don't have the patience. but art more than makes up for it. * o *......

Average Manga

At first the manga was quite good and it seemed like a genuine thriller horror, but opposite of many horror manga that take itself too seriously, this one doesnt take itself seriously enough. There are too many "comedic" fillers that spoil the mood of the manga and make it seem too much of a joke to be any good. I felt real emotion seeing characters die, but i felt pure disgust at how playful and non-chalant characters were in their situations. Its just a real mood killer when there is so much filler, and all of it only serves to completely kill the mood. I myself love romance cute things and comedy, but not in my horror manga. This had so much potential, truely a disappointment.

One of series where you'd expect death on almost every chapters, just don't get attached to any characters since he/she could be the next one. I'm surprised this still categorized as shounen as the gore is pretty graphic and the theme isn't shonen-like at all.

Did you even read the manga? they impersonate dead person to a degree and there are some people who does notice it, it is not believable, true. But that's not the point of a manga anyway.

entertaining, but stupid. for one, if you've read chapter 12.5,

there is absolutely NO WAY that that many corpses and deaths would go unnoticed in real life. it's just too unrealistic. what was it like, 2000+ dead people in that big room? gee, this manga sure is good at making me frustrated.

I love ultra-violent manga. I have no problem with fictional gore, carnage, injustice and brutality, in fact, I'm currently the translator for a project just as violent and horror filled (Corpse Party Musume). So when I say I hate this manga understand that it's not because I hate the horror genre but because I think this manga is f*cking stupid. Chapter after chapter progresses without ANY character realizing the painfully obvious fact that the ones they need to be fighting are the administrators of this school and a later chapter even has them condemning the murder of one of these teachers. I cannot read this anymore. Not because I dislike horror but because these characters piss me off to the point where I feel like smashing my computer. I cannot bring myself to care about characters this stupid and I hope the mangaka kills them all before he quits his job to become a gladiator.

It's a pretty good manga. Personally I've just been reading one or two chapters like every few weeks/months. Really easy for me to pick back up on. I find main character very annoying. The whole "I want to change myself for my love I just met!" VERY ANNOYING.

On the good side, I find it very inspiring with the plot and the characters are pretty good.

only use in the verge of his death 😛

but still many of the student skill unveiled yet
so it's exciting

and well i'm pretty intrigued for his "henshin" self

Art- Great art, extremely well drawn and perhaps, this is the part that people dislike. This makes blood and gore pretty darn well done. If you can't stand a little blood here and there, some body parts, make that a lot of blood... this isn't a manga for you. But, it isn't the worst, the gore is not the worst I have seen. But other than that, characters are fantastically drawn and I like it. 9.5/10

Plot- There is a plot, I can feel it. It is leading up to something... I mean, I only read about 9 chapters as of now and I cannot comment about it. It is still like in chapter two of a novel. Introductions are still being made but, its coming, it most definitely is. 9/10

Originality- HAHA, if I was to say this is original, I am lying to myself. I mean, super powers in a boarding academy where they have to fight and stuff. OVERUSED. It has cliches like super powerful all the sudden when it comes to helping people. Useless main character (he actually admits it!), its all something that has been done before. BUT, for some reason, this was interesting, it wasn't boring. Perhaps I just like this topic or something, but I really enjoyed this. (No rating)

Character- Some characters are so... common. Like useless main cast (who has some awesome power, in this case, he makes himself not as incompetent)... But they are developing in their own way, we can see the characters literally explaining themselves. I mean, some characters are pretty forgettable. Eh, I am bad at explaining this. 8/10

Enjoyment- I enjoyed it a lot. I laughed, I got goosebumps and I smiled here and there. I was excited to see an update and I am anticipating the update. i can't wait and I think about this manga. 10/10

Recommended and it is one of my favorites.
