Fun, mindless smut with some variations

While the previous review mentions some of the flaws, I am not sure if said reader was reading the original Japanese version or the horribly localized Seven Seas edition. The characters are introduced to add some variety to the repeated theme of guy in danger, sexy situations occur and are saved at the last minute or learn how to not unleash their beast.

The shota-ish character is basically Saika from OreGairu but he acts like an effeminate dude who likes women and suffers from the same affliction. The cuckold aspect applies to the main girl, Ayana. A lot of the supposed MC being cucked is alluded to in daydreams/thoughts. Everything wraps up fine, but as I previously mentioned the Seven Seas localization credited to someone with the cringeworthy name "The Smut Whisperer" chooses some ridiculous slang and idioms that are not present in the Japanese version. There is repetition to the story, which is why the other characters are introduced and the witches themselves are quite lovely to look at.

The Witches of Adamas is a manga that is recommended to readers who enjoy over-the-top, ecchi comedies with a unique and ridiculous premise. If you are looking for a deep, character-driven story, this is likely not the manga for you. However, if you are in the mood for a fun, raunchy, and genuinely funny series with great artwork and a constant stream of fan service, it's definitely worth checking out. It's a series that knows exactly what it is and leans into it completely, which is why it has found an audience that appreciates its specific brand of humor and sensuality.

From "Harem" bait and switch to multiple protags with cuckhold/sharing fetish

The initial premise of this story as a fun and unique harem quickly took a disappointing turn. It devolved into a narrative with four different protagonists, where the focus predominantly shifted to the MC, a shota character, and an ugly bastard character who monopolized all the sexual scenes. It became increasingly absurd, leaving me at a loss for words as the plot took a nosedive. Even when the focus returned to the MC, the shota character always seemed to have a role in the sexual encounters. And then, for some inexplicable reason, the ugly bastard character resurfaced, reclaiming all the sex scenes once again.

It's frustrating because this excessive focus on explicit encounters hinders the MC from having his own moments, as if the plot actively prevents him from experiencing intimacy. Instead, the ugly bastard character takes his place, and the shota character seems to cater solely to a specific fanbase. In the end, what was touted as a "harem" turns out to be another typical Japanese cuckold protagonist story, falling far from the initial expectations.
