The anime just got announced so I checked it out. This is fun, reminds me kinda of Tsunlise (Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte) which also got a good anime.
Imagining all of the internal narration as being done by a serious, deep-voiced middle-aged man just makes it all the funnier.

The other reviews already explain it but basically, its not something like absurdly serious or high stakes that the world is going to fall apart
But what you do get is a surprisingly consistent, transmigrated into a game genre but with certain very tasteful twists that patch up a few holes that others in the same genre have, along with a fair bit of self awareness from the protagonist (and his family) and lots of comedic moments.

And that automatic elegant translation is great too! HAHAHAAAH! 🤣🤣🤣

We have all been wondering, what would happen if instead of a young girl you loved the game/book/etc. a middle-aged man who knew nothing reincarnated as the villainess? Well fret not because we finally get to see what would happen in this great and exciting rendition of the trope.


Honestly it’s such a refreshing take on the now kinda overplayed trope. How long even has this been a thing like two years tops? It’s so interesting, it plays into the trope, but it’s so out of left field it feels new.

I love all stories with villainesses. Actually, I am obsessed with them and I even like the bad/generic stories, but this manga is exceptional. It's definitely a short comedy that delivers hilarious jokes and misunderstandings. I feel so delighted and refreshed reading this unique spin on a villainess story. If I was to tell my past self, "You will enjoy it when a 52-year-old man becomes a kind-hearted otome game villainess", I would have gone to see a psychiatrist.

I believe the author started writing the first draft of this story as a joke, since there appears to be two versions. However, both are damn funny and worth reading. It's no wonder that it eventually turned into a final product and got published.

Truly, not every villainess story has to be "reincarnation + death flag avoidance + engagement annulment + etc.". XD
