Dropped it after 17 chapters when out of the blue ML turned SIMP and FL past got like they literally forgot she how horrible she was.

This manhwa would have been much better if:
a) if was more serious in tone
b) It was about 20 chapters shorter
c) More background was given to the ML

No, I expected a same old boring shojou, just with a yandere (auf, my guilty pleasure), but this surprised me! While most of the manhwa is a bland and boring shojou, the end and the beginning were tight, gripping and unusual. Considering what ML does for the Fl in the end, I would not easily call this a typical shojou. and his yandere moments were... uneven, to say at least. I selected this manhwa specificaly since I heard that Isaac was a intense yandere, but I didn't see it in the start and barely made it do chapter 70... Then the fun started, but boy, did you have to take up your time so much? The lack of steam in the middle really bogged evrything down and still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

But at least Isaac becomes a full blown yandere at that point. While they could have expanded on his yandereness a bit more, it was more than satisfying the way it was. But this is the fundamental problem with this manhwa - this should have been a serious josei with touches of humor. There are so many heavy, triggering topics touched here - abuse, slavery, obsession, murder, revenge... Clea's whole setup is in fact pretty tragic and warrants a more nuanced look on the whole situation. And her HP system was inconsistent - while hilarious at times, it was out of sync with a world which was obviously not an Otomne game. And it gets old too soon. But, to get to the point, I think by pandering to a wide audience and making this a shojou with some edgy stuff was a omission. This deserves to be a hard core, divisive manhwa, but ends up a slightly more intriguing shojou.

The art was a mixed bag, but I came to love it by the end. Especially Isaacs's face expressions and his lacy outfits (yep, the artists loves lacy sleeves here!). And Isaac's background is so blurry I never got him as a cold blodded war machine. he's just shown as a uptight, but fair nobleman with a ruthless strike. Learning more about him, and giving him more depth, would have been a rare treat indeed! Also a plus - supporting chars are more than cardboard cutouts! Phan, the Demon King and Eclise were actually moderately interesting chars and not that easily forgotten.

But as I said, the yandere moments were delicious indeed, and it's worth reading the stuff for. It would have been better if the yandereness was more expansive and dominant. And I like it that he's one speaky bastard, so refreshing for such a manhwa!

Overall, not too bad, but missed the point and could have been much better!

Hmmm, after thinking a bit on it, I'll give this a 7. Barely. It starts good and remains good throughout the whole thing. Almost. Without the bonus chapters, this would be a 6.

I'm not sure what to say about it. It is what it says on the tin and it stays with that.

First of all, not a big fan of slavery being used there either. Really, there was no need for it, and as someone who descend from slaves I think the subject was taken too lightly. Got brushed off way too easily as a simple way to show how the original Clea was evil, Pahn could have been a normal servant and it would change nothing to the plot.
Second, and my main point... D*mn it started cute but the male lead is actually insane. I can deal with some extent of unhealthy attachement, but Isaac goes full yandere about it, ready to completdly cut her independance so she stays with him even against her will. The fl is too blind to see the extent of his obsession with her, and he says it himself that she would run away if she knew. Like, I guess it's ok if that's your cup of tea, but really don't brush it off when I say the guy is so close to going full berserk yandere type near the end, I mean it.
The plot, past that, is alright. You have some rather unique elements to it, enough to keep you reading if you can ignore the two previous points I made. Lot of angst everywhere, wish it was executed better.

Personally, I find this cute, funny, and i like how it hurt me good whenever she mentions their remaining time together. Haha, it's my cup of tea somehow.

Didn't entirely hook me enough to finish it quickly, but I'm glad I finished it.

I love these kinds of stories with the ill villainess and the people in her life slowly coming around to cherish her but it's so rarely written well.

Disappointed in this one. Dropped.

Definitely not a deep story or anything - this is more of a lighthearted shoujo but without much intrigue / comedy / anything else going on it's a bit boring and one-dimensional.

That being said - the female and male leads are refreshingly straightforward most of the time so while the usual communication pitfalls unfortunately still happen, they get resolved rather quickly and it's always a pleasant surprise. The plot drags on with not much happening for quite a while, and I so very much wish the art was better, but otherwise it's a decent read.

In a good way. Personally, the story could do much more hurt if whenever ML calls out to Clea, the FL's heart would hurt because that's not her name. But overall, I love the pain it's been giving me.

The sweet and fluffy stuff makes the story premise even more depressing which is a bonus.

- absolutely can’t stand it when slavery is included, it’s always poorly and insensitively handled. this is no exception.

- only read the end to see how the ml and fl’s relationship matured. i like the whole angsty “im leaving you” bc it hits sometimes but idk i don’t want to read 50 chapters to see that

- art was honestly kind of bad, super flat. saw a few problematic tropes throughout. nothing remarkable.

overall: 2/10 i’ve read way better

If you’re looking for a laugh while getting a cute romance- this is the one. There’s no serious topics (which might cause contention since it does mention slavery but doesn’t really talk much about it), but it does have you laughing your butt off every few minutes because of her condition.
If you wanted a romance with deep feelings and profound thoughts? This isn’t for you.
BUT if you want a light hearted read with sappy moments and jokes that crack you up- go for it!
