I absolutely enjoyed this story. It does make use of the four plot structure so it can seem a bit confusing if you are not used to the structure. It's also definitely something better to read page by page rather than the webtoon format that the scanalation team's site has set up. It is a quiet and understated romance and while there are a few parts of wham bam thank you sir, they don't feel gratuitous. The art is also plain beautiful.

It's nice and u never felt boring
The only problem is amateurish way of story telling by author, make a cute simple story like this confusing, sometimes I don't get what just happened lol
Otherwise it's a cute love story with some depth and good character

Taste Makes Waste

As good as I think "Hanagara Tsumi" is - glamorous, verbal and textural - it really isn't making me feel much more than lightly entertained. My personal tastes just don't align that well with what is on offer here. That's fine and I am glad to see that lots of people enjoy this, as I can easily understand why. I do continue to be slightly fatigued by the inanity of concepts covered in Omegaverse manga - after all, for a world so deeply hierarchical (with obvious physical, psychological and sexual differentiation going on), every story that takes up this conceptual load is so quick to dismiss it out of hand for what are the prevailing ideological tenants of today's western world (e.g. universalism, egalitarianism, progressivism etc). Ultimately I've always seen Omegaverse (and many other female dominated fictional universes) as being allegorical maximalism. This prism just isn't being used to show the full spectrum of discourse on relevant subjects just yet though.

Well-written BL Omegaverse😭💙

This BL is by far one of the best well-written Omegaverse with great character developments and storyline. What I really dislike most of the omegaverse is that beautiful ukes tend to be involved in love triangles that oftentimes led them to be so indecisive.Like srsly haha. Just to be clear, something like that didn't happen on this manga but I'm telling you, it's a masterpiece! It mainly focuses on the fated pair who has their own fears and doubts.

Reasons why for me this manga is different from typical omegaverse:

1. No love triangle shi*tz
2. The uke isn't indecisive but rather just wants to be with someone who'll see him not as an omega but as a person. He's capable and proves himself worthy despite his subgender. I like his character! Shuu is so likeable 🤍 He wants to stay by Ayame's side as his equal. Gosh😭
3.It mainly depicts the seme's insecurities and doubts of protecting his fated pair. He doesn't want to force himself on Shuu just because he's in heat. He doesn't want to leave a mark not because he's in rut but because it's his own will. Ayame was deeply scared he'll destroy Shuu's freedom to choose his mate or worst, he'll unintentionally hurt him. In fact, he believes it would be a lot better if there's no such thing as omega's pheromones and Alpha's rut. I really admire him when he says, he always see Shuu as a person not an omega🥺Ayama best boi😭

Ayame has his own reasons why he sticked with Shuu way back on their highschool days.
4. Kaede is a great brother😂
5. The pacing isn't slow nor too fast.
6. Character Development

Def a must read😍

Kudos to the mangaka <3

Almost Loved It

Aside from the vague details that sometimes comes across when they talk about "Fated Pairs" which made me even more confused. I probably would have given this a 10 if they suffered a bit more. Particularly the alpha for stringing the clueless omega along his whims of will he/won't he attitude.

I didn't like that the omega was the one to cave first though I wouldn't appreciate it if the alpha caved first either. What was missing might be the mutual realization that "being apart from each other is too much for the both of them to bear so to hell with it all, I'm gonna confess to you" attitude.

But sadly, it didn't happen. Still a great read if you like angst with a happy ending.

Eye-gasm - recommend for art

One thing this manga definitely had going for it is its art. Completely unique and eyegasmic, i would just love to stare for hours at each panel. The way the characters were drawn was pretty i got so much SERATONIN

Plot-wise i had a few qualms...
It did very much lack coherence. Although it was much better than other mangas I've read that were completely mediocre, tasteless, and just made me overall incredulous at how it was even given the kay for publication, this one was loads better.

The premise set at the start was very engaging: reuniting with your high school "bully" at work. I came in expecting serious angst but instead it turned out to be fluffy.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
'seme cant express feelings uwu' 'seme only wanted to protect uke' 'uwu' which wasnt what i was looking for but pleseant nonetheless.

I loved the attempt at a deeper theme with the whole talk about fated pairs and all that but i felt like it lacked clarity... Its relevance was present but blurred.

The denouement felt rushed and just a lot was left unsaid. I really wish this could have been done better.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
All of the sudden instead of hating the seme the uke turned out to be in love?? Like wtf😕

There really was so much potential here, don't get me wrong, i enjoyed the entire thing, but i think the story could have gone longer with more and better development. At the same time i can't say it was a waste because i truly liked the characters of this story, kind of typical with the shy/cute/omega and the strong/cool/alpha, but they stood out at the same time, so i was expecting much more, and i still am hahaha

Wonderful art work, but the flow just wasn't there. The story gets interesting then a time skip or a flash back happens and the entire story falls apart. There are characters that show up and it isn't clearly explained why they are there. And as for a omega else, where are the betas?

Would i recommend this read? Yes for the art work. But the entire book is just wasted potential.

Wasted potential

I’m sorry in advance to those who love this one, but I couldn’t appreciate it at all.
First the narration is incoherent, the flashbacks aren’t clearly distinguished from the present. And the dialogues are most of the time confusing.
Plus it felt a lot like there was no real basement for their problems and we don’t get to really know why they both held back from their feelings for so long, which adds to the confusion.
And finally, since I hate it when the uke acts too much like a girl, I couldn’t stand the uke here. The final blow was in the last extra with the sex scene, you could replace him with a girl and not see the difference, ugh !
I don’t even know how I was able to finish this one.
Well, it has potential and the art is nice even if it still has room for improvement. So yeah, wasted potential.
