Kazuya Aizuki is a university student in the Japanese Literature Department of the Faculty of Letters. Suddenly, Murasaki Shikibu, a well-known character in The Tale of Genji, appears in his life! He is forced to live together with Murasaki Shikibu, who seems to have been transported from the Heian period, but it is revealed that he has feelings for Hanano Kozue, another classmate in the Japanese literature department who lives in the next room, and Murasaki Shikibu gives him some pointers on love! While learning Heian-style advice from Murasaki Shikibu, Kazuya somehow receives a waka poem from Kozue and becomes suspicious. In fact, a great man appears in Kozue's life, just like Kazuya...?
