All other comments pretty much sum it all. It is a beautiful and well written story up to this point (end). It feels that it needs a bit more a couple of extras or a second volume. There is still things that need to be worked out. It has so more to give.

Happy Story

I'm writing this to hopefully push some people towards reading this

The description and art above had me very hesitant to read this story, mainly because I thought it'd be very sad and I didn't want to ruin my mood. This page reads like a "you will feel heartbreak and cry rivers reading this" review. Even other comments made it seem that way.

I read it anyway and it's not sad at all. It's a typical unrequited love story but it's always progressing positively and there's a happy ending. It makes for a very nice read without making your heart hurt.

This had me feel it deeply.
But I think this needs but one additional thing:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Satoru's unrequited love for his brother needs a backstory chapter at least. All that pain and longing has to be explored think.

I would also love a Satoru POV chapter!

Setting the fantastic artwork aside (not really tho), the story line, dialogues, paneling and facial expressions are all absolutely wonderful. I believe the manga lives up to its radical potential of framing gay relationships in a positive framework. Honestly, I fell in love with this manga even more on two very simply, but quite radical, points. One, consent. Both of them have a proper conversation before having sex to make sure that they are comfortable with what they are doing. Second, sex isn’t the end all and be all. There is more to a relationship than having penetrative sex.
I had very uncomfortable Harada vies for a while there in the middle given the title of the manga and the way the story was progressing; however I was extremely relived to see that itz stayed true to their own style. The only complain that I have is that the facial features of the characters ended up being exactly the same as those couple in of Yukidoke no Koi. It’s like, it’s a more grown up version of them, which makes me wonder maybe it would have been better to continue with the original story after all? I would have loved to see how the two of them are getting on in their lives.

It's the best story I've read in a long time. It has everything I like: complex plot, depth, right pace (not rushed, not boring), smart and likeable characters, something going between the lines and a very nice art. It has a lot of details that add to the story (like different clothes everyday, different hairstyles over the years or chiaroscuro effect on their clothes and faces). They say the devil's in the details. I agree. Moreover the ending wasn't obvious, and I love when a story isn't completely predictable. I like the storytelling and characters' inner voices. Those guys were acting like a proper adults so I'll add one point for real-life-like characters. In a blink of an eye I reached the last page. This story is absolutely wonderful, it's not another time killer. Well... that's all. I don't want to ruin your fun, you have to read it yourself to know more smile I'll just say that for me the ending is quite clear.

Now I'm curious about sensei's other works, if they're as good as this one she may join my favourite yaoi authors list.

In short I had a really good time. It's definitely worth to read, make sure that no one's gonna disturb you, take your time and have fun.

Okay I have mixed feelings about this.
I loved the art style it was beautiful and the plot was really emotional and I felt captivated.

But.. I know this was about "unrequited love" but it turned out quite a big deal cause it wasn't just the main character and my big problem was.. cause I'm a tragic person.. if they decided to just going with it because they didn't want to being alone and I've never read the word 'love' between them and it's hurting me so badly. This was really sad at least the extra make me have hopes but I'm still thinking about it and UGH I still love this story is such a masterpiece but I wanted a happy ending with true feelings.

.. I wasn't as moved by it as I had expected to be tbh. Let me say upfront that unrequited love is actually my favourite trope in romance fiction of all genres, so I've rarely been immune to ~feels~ when it comes to a character harbouring unreciprocated feelings. But this is one of those rare times that I was kinda underwhelmed, where I thought the drama was rather skin deep and did not pack a punch hard enough to truly become a tearjerker. It's still a lovely manga, don't get me wrong, it's just not.. emotional enough for me, even if the whole book was revolving around emotions and feelings. But hey, at least there's something I don't think anyone will disagree with me: the art is really good and pretty! I'm sure this sort of style will be very popular with the average reader.
