From Midnight Scans:
Miki and her follower, Saaya, have a forbidden owner and servant love. They both have a lily tattooed on their chest and promised to live as owner and servant. Their love is a taboo, however…?!
1 Volume (Complete)
For me, it's just one of those overly boring shoujo romance mangas that try way too hard to make an interesting premise but fails miserably instead. Nothing seems convincing, and every plot tool is just...well, a tool that was supposed to create a story. Characters are flat, one-dimensional and utterly boring.
The decisions they make are so unrealistic and, honestly, stupid. The taboo love the girl keeps talking about doesn't feel like taboo at all. I really can't take this kind of manga anymore. Why is it that shoujo dramas are generally like this?
FINAL VERDICT: "I don't recommend this. Stay away if you don't want your intelligence insulted."
Since chapter 1, its the same plot repeating again and again. Trouble comes- she goes (alone)- enemies talk-she glares-enemies flinch- she is almost about to unleash her super awesome fighting skills- realizes the circumstances aren't favorable- wait!- the hero comes- Wham! Boom! Dishoom! - All the villains are KO-ed.
Frankly, my baby sister can come up with a better plot while watching her cartoons
It was like the mangaka was trying WAYYYY too hard to make a plot. I skipped quite a bit of it because it was so lame. At first, you think, "Oh, this will be a cute love story!" Then you think, "Wow, Saaya is so cool!" Then as you continue reading you're just like "what" and then you lose interest and skim the pages, then they introduce an attempt at a love triangle which wasn't love-traingle-y at all, then cue the old person who I skimmed completely over the chapter including because it was lame. I couldn't find any legit emotion in this except maybe the two pages at the very end of the last chapter where it shows Saaya and Miki meeting at age 10, and Saaya's insta-love expression as he said her name. The rest: meh.
All in all, the art was kind of trippy (I hated their eyes. Saaya looked cross-eyed most time and Miki's eyelashes were freaky), the story was lame, the characters were undeveloped. I liked the whole tattoo idea, but it could have been a LOT better. Like, their love was "taboo," she said, but it was accepted right away by everyone else and didn't seem taboo at all. I do NOT recommend, especially for veteran shoujo-readers like myself.
It has a very good story! I just like how the two of them love each other even after 5 years haha.
Although it's a shame coz it ended so quickly but it's worth reading! I totally recommend this especially if you like stories with master-servant relationship and LOYALTY!!
Although Saya, the male lead, does rescue Miki, the heroine, often, Miki can certainly take care of herself! She's strong and beautiful, and she and Saya are a really cute couple. This isn't, OMG, EXTRAORDINARY! But it's a really good, fast read that has beautiful art and nice characters. Recommended!
I actually like it.. The art is great and i love the characters.. I love strong female leads 🙂
Art will be : 9/10
Plot will be : 9.5/10
characters will be: 10/10
Over all 9.5
Kinda boring, found myself skipping pages. But the art is great and the story is pretty original. It had a lot of potential but it just didn't cut it for me. Ultimately, it's decent for the usual shoujo lover.
