Description
I woke up in an unknown forest. It seems like this place is a fantasy world where strange-looking beast run rampant. And just like in a game, I seem to be able to check mine and my enemies ability. Let’s hunt monsters and gather titles in order on level up and evolve into a higher dragon! And I heard a mysterious voice in my head, “Let’s aim to be the strongest!”

The art is horrid when it comes to humans, the lines too shaky and the panels overfilled, it was a nightmare to read up to chapter 14, but thankfully it gets a bit better.
The story is ok, it’s basically “im a spider so what”, but the mc is a dude, hasn’t abandoned his humanity, and isn’t in total isolation like spider, but in the same way as spider, humans in the story are the worst aspect. All of them fall in one of these categories :Bland, boring or rotten, the story would be so much better if we just limit their appearances for like once every full moon.
7/10. It’s not the best story, the beginning is super slow, but the monster characters are it’s beacon of hope, it’s in no way better than spider or slime, and whoever said that should be burned, but of you have the time, read it, sure.
(Also, it doesn’t lose charm when it gets bigger! It’s a fricking dragon for god’s sake, it’s supposed to get big. The artwork gets better when the dragon is bigger! In the beginning it didn’t even look like a dragon!)

The later chapters have gotten so action filled, it's losing a lot of character, and the dragon

has gotten us to lose the cool human interactions. Also the first villain was a big let down. Hopefully we get some of this back with the latest chapters.
In a nutshell: the MC wakes up as a dragon egg and has to survive and become stronger. This is one where the MC starts off weak and has to persevere against stronger opponents, but the focus of this is more about the MC trying to figure out what to do in a bad situation rather than constant battles, though there are plenty. This manga is based on the novel and is very faithful to the original so far (chapter 7).
The novel's writing style incorporates a lot of small humor, and the manga does a pretty good job of translating that to visuals. The writing style and the focus on overcoming bad situations makes this comparable to Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?, but it's not derivative and the MC's are very different.
I highly recommend reading the first 3 chapters at least.
