Princess Claire of the Kingdom of Lastnaldo was deeply troubled about her nation's future as it teetered on the brink of war, accompanied by her loyal court magician, Lloyd.

As the threat of war grew closer, a marriage proposal from the prince of an allied nation was brought to Claire's attention.
