I really enjoy the main character and how his quirk is progressing. I can't wait to see the final battle with number 6 and how it plays out. This series outs both funny and wholesome, while also being action packed and suspenseful. A great array of new characters as well as darker characters from the original my hero academia series.. I find myself waiting impatiently for every new chapter.

It's a solid series that gives you more western comics references than in My Hero Academia. From a main cast that includes an old dude who gives off the vibe of Midnighter, some side character that look like Wolverine and Cyclops, and cameos from the pro heroes of the MHA universe, this series is a nice addition to flesh out the universe. The main character, Koichi, is another All Might fanboy who might rival Deku in his appreciation of All Might merch and wears the branded hoodie as his hero outfit!

This manga actually takes place before the events of My Hero Academia, so it will be interesting to see how some of the plot points will lead up to the villainy of the main series (like it introduces Eraserhead, Ingenium, Stain, etc).

Definitely worth checking out if you're all caught up on My Hero Academia or even just caught up on the anime!

If this had more chapters I would probably read it more than the original.

Good MC, good side cast, good plot. It makes great use of the already established setting and doesn't suffer of the Rush that WSJ puts in all its stuff, where a new plot development always seems to be popping up before the last one is solved, but while that's good, IMO, It slows down a bit too much considering the amount of pages you get a month, as it is more action oriented than the original most of the time. In this manga there is nothing stopping the main cast from just going at it with villains on each chapter.

Still, too few chapters to make a solid argument, I am giving it 10 because it deserves to be read.

Better Than I Thought It Would Be

Obviously I don't think this can measure up to Boku no Hero Academia, however, it does show something that I think is necessary for that world, and it's that there are multiple ways to fight villains. The heroes must wait for the villains to begin to act, however, the vigilantes will act even before the heroes do, even to the point of going off of hunches.

Although I felt the main protagonist was a bit too plain at first, there's also a lot of room for growth and his desire to become a hero is strong despite his seemingly weak "quirk." The main female lead is interesting as well in that she's not some stuck up, rude girl -- when the main protagonist tries his best to help her despite his physical weaknesses, she remembers him and is grateful for what he did rather than shrugging him off or acting overly superior to him.

I felt the dialogue was somewhat lacking, the villains were OK (nothing knew really), and the main protagonists, while memorable, aren't as interesting -- in my opinion -- as the main characters of Boku no Hero Academia. However, this is definitely worth reading if you're a fan of Boku no Hero Academia because it builds on that world -- there aren't just heroes and villains -- it's not always black and white like that, and different individuals have different motivations. We see that in Boku no Hero Academia between many of the heroes, however, I don't think we ever really see those that stand more on the border between hero and villain.

This story also gets better in the second chapter so I hope it continues to improve. I don't see it being anything overly great, however, as a tie in with Boku no Hero Academia, I think it works very well. Highly recommended for fans of Boku no Hero Academia.
