Too Much Like To Love Ru

This anime has great art going for it but it's just another To Love Ru. Lots of cockteasing surrounding one beta male, and that's it. +145 chapters and nothing to show for all that cockteasing. Even Kiss x Sis didn't spend that long hyping sexiness and never delivering ANYTHING.

Interesting

The manga was a great read , it kinda turned borderline H during the mid-later chapters which some would find ( ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o) , but it had too much " underage " sexual content during the early chapters.
From what I have read in the manga , it gave me an impression of it being a " Borderline H , Action " manga but with a decent plot and character development . The Mc is kinda stupid but isnt a wimp like those harem protagonists , well , he is one but has personality and grows. The other characters also have a bit of personality in them and are funny somewhat .there's also too much fingering going on and I guess the Mc's goal is like those in shonen manga ( get strong and achieve stuff ) , the interacting between each characters is kinda like a " love dodecahedron " currently.

Overall its a great read , 69 % fappable , decent comedy , great artwork and style , and decent goal for the Mc

Became boring

Anime was interesting but the way the manga carries on is focused mostly in fan service. Also too many side chapters deviating from original story and some amasogi related ones end in 1 chapter.
10/10 for art though, HAMADA Yoshikazu puts too much effort drawing. He has a youtube channel as well showing his work and the detail put on each page.
A great artist doesn't make a great author and vice versa. Not sure if his fault or editor pressure but that's my opinion anyway.

Boring start, decent middle, dumpster fire end

Well, this was a rollercoaster. I started reading this manga after watching the anime. At first it consisted of pointless monster-of-the-week amasogi beatings, but began shaping up to be a decent (though quite bumpy) ride with introduction of Sunao and up through the Mayoiga arc… and then the author decided to fuck everything up around chapter 70. Since then it's been an utter trainwreck full of the dumbest cliches possible. But let's approach this in order.

Pros:
- Excellent art, no question about it. Sometimes proportions or relative body sizes are off and female feet look decidedly unfeminine, but generally it's definitely among the best-looking manga out there.
- Excellent and varied ecchi, unexpectedly with actual sex.
- Had interesting morally grey antagonists. At first. Then it turned into hot garbage, but more on this later.
- The flashback with tying-up of past events was quite excellently done.
- The author seems to have toyed with the idea of using weaker and less threatening amasogi for more light-hearted arcs, but seems to have discarded it.

Cons:
- Terrible pacing and bad writing in general. Constant pointless fillers at the worst times, instant anticlimactic resolutions, chapters-long shonen-style battles with attack names being the only conversation. Of special note is
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Kiriha getting killed off for basically no reason
in chapter 70.
- Shonen-style battles, which got even worse as the series progresses:
-- Major power creep - Ascension at first was something used in absolute emergencies to beat pretty much anything, then turned into a tool that allows for a close fight against a normal human opponent.
-- The fights are decided by power levels and who can scream out the name of the attack harder. Nothing even remotely approaching battle tactics, other than the duel at around chapter 28 (end of anime). This was at least somewhat tolerable when it was just beating up amasogi, but stopped being such when
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Kukuri got killed
in chapter 70 just because the opponent did a No Sell on her final attack. Now we are in a tournament arc that is much more of the same.
- New characters are shit, old characters are being turned into shit:
-- Kokuyou became essentially a pair of giant breasts with a face who isn't even saying anything unrelated to them anymore.
-- The latest villain is the most cliche-filled Obviously Evil moustache-twirling cackling cheating-at-every-turn raging-when-inevitably-defeated asshole you'll ever come across. Disney has got nothing on our guy Madarai.
-- MC is a Gary Stu with new OP once-in-a-millenium powers whenever the plot demands it.
- The universe is internally inconsistent:
-- Will a given tsukumogami turn into original form or pass out when they lose energy? Depends only on whether the plot (or Plot, as it may be) demands it.
-- Huge importance is placed on tsukumogami needing an external supply of energy, but this is waived whenever A Dramatic Event needs to happen.

I guess it can be read for the ecchi and the occasional decent arc (Mayoiga comes to mind), but overally it's quite sub-par.

Good so far

Probably the best ecchi comedy I've read, basically because the mangaka does a good job at separating when to use it, you won't get dumb ecchi scenes and jokes in the middle of serious fights for example but there are lots of them in between those moments. Also, the ecchi is way more direct than most other similar comedies, I would guess this may put off many readers thou.
Story is simple and straight-forward shounnen fighting with character growth, nothing too original. I would like a little more consistency on the explanation of Tsukumogamis strengths thou, it's understandable that our mc duo has trouble in the beginning but once they are in sync (given how the author explained things thus far) they shouldn't have much trouble fighting one measly enemy. Likewise, the land-god can detect Tsukumogamis in their territory but only when convenient to the story, why is this detection ability selective? I'm only on ch 50 something so there is much room for change and things may be explained further but I prefer when things are explained progressively as things are presented, when they are explained retrospectively they usually just sound like excuses (unless the author did a good job in his storytelling, not a common thing in mangas).
Chars are decent and Kiriha which is the main comedy instrument is great, it unfortunately goes the harem root thou so that's another minus.
Last, the art-style is good, the ecchi works well and the fights are fluid and entertaining.
In the end whether one likes this or not will most likely depend on the humor, whether it is to each readers liking, likewise with the bold ecchi.

again a completely useless main lead...like why have him there anyway? whenever he does anything interesting its either someone else telling him what to do word for word or someone has possessed him and is controlling him...like just get rid of him all together and i would enjoy this a lot more.

Wrote one of my longest reviews dedicated to Tsugumomo. It's a really, really superb manga but WOW is it not something just anyone should read. AMAZING action, FANTASTIC art, a really strong plot, lovable characters, but then there's the fanservice. I am not complaining about the fanservice, but if you DO complain about fanservice, don't read this. Every body type under the sun from thin to healthy and mature to very young is on display here and often in sexual situations or put through sexual acts. This is the most perverted manga I've read without being porn and without being "thinly veiled porn". It's phenomenal on a lot of levels, but really, step back if this isn't your thing; it probably won't change your mind.

Nipples - the Manga
by Sybear

I only read ecchi manga and I will say, to get it out there, this is a shitty ecchi manga. You know, the ones where the heroines get into compromising situations with the MC, romance blossoms, - regular ecchi shit manga shit. That said, that is only the beginning. After the first few chapters it slowly starts to expand into the smut-ecchi-borderline h genre but at the same time it retains its initial frame. With this in mind you can now look at it and realize how entertaining this manga can be! It pushes the boundaries of regular ecchi tropes while at the same time retaining its initial principles. The art is quite decent (7/10), the humor (both ecchi and base) is pleasant, the interactions between the characters is a breath of fresh air in this genre and the battle scenes are decent as well. The plot is a bit lacking (typical for most manga, in general - 6/10), although intriguing/interesting, and some of the characters aren't being as fleshed out as the manga initially hinted so this manga can still use a bit of work.

Overall I enjoy this manga quite a bit as an entertaining read. Two key factors push the manga forward for me: first, the nipples are everywhere (whether they wear clothes or not) and strong looking - I find this to be the key uniqueness of the series; second, the bonus panel/chapters truly flesh out the characters and the setting - they are not boring and definitely do not seem forced, a testament to the authors devotion to this work.

So ya, if you like hentai nipples and nipples poking through shirts/etc. you should read this. smile
