As others say, the art is excellent, that's the thing that got me started with the series and it started great, the prison arc was quite good, unfortunately it started to become a dumb generic shounen story after that, still, the fight against heaven ark was still readable and somewhat enjoyable if looking for that kind of story, but I completely lost my interest after that and all the revive and soul stuff (won't say more) felt like BS and a usless plot tool to keep a dead story going, dropped this there, soon after it finished and I doubt I'll ever finish it. The author should have ended it long ago and would have been a good manhua, as it stand it's just mediocre as a whole.

You hardly connect to ANY of the characters. It just feels like the the world's least entertaining play despite all the action that is happening. The only redeeming quality is the art, which is quite beautiful. I would say skip this manhua entirely. It is as generic as it gets.

The first seasons of feng shen ji, was interesting it was very gripping and the fact the characters were weak just made the stakes and it makes readers want to know how to escape. 8.5/10
Second seasons was good at some parts but it suffers from inconsistent quality 7/10
and the last season wasn't good for most of the parts, but the last five chapter has an ending good
enough to give readers a good amount of closure, except with the phantom island which is a shortcoming in the end 6/10

It has well developed side characters in the first two seasons and it just wasn't the same after that.

Feng Shen Ji is a story about a prince who lost his parents during a war against the gods. Through harsh journey he will find strength to exact his revenge and eventually rule the world, well that's pretty much everything to it.

first let me say that Feng Shen Ji has wonderful art. Without mentioning the colorful pages that it always provide us in every chapters, the details and characters design are well depicted in this manhua. This however, is not accompanied by the same level of story. The main protagonist here powered up so fast and it becomes really hard to know how good he actually is - very typical shonen style. Consequently, it makes the story too much focused on him, which is a pity considering the number of interesting characters that the series has.

edit: the story develop for the better in the second half. More twist and more characters got into the play. Also the art didn't drop a bit. If you have started reading it and love the early part of it, I suggest you continue reading. There's little romance in this, but it's very very action packed. One very satisfying Shonen in terms of art and action.

Chinese manga in color and such beautiful shading. I am sold. It's awesome. The action scenes are cool and the scale of battles is epic.

IDK why some people don't like it though.

My thought for now, ive only read 19 chpater for now

So i was looking a manga i knew had just updated and i fell on this, the picture look ok, not so amaze with the fron cover until i start reading.
The story is very interesting not original though but they push it arround to no be to cliche. The art, well im amazed not only the art is good it is also colored. but not only it is colored, it is colored very high detailed really the time to it take to do those thing i will not be supprise it would take time to realease these. the characters or not so exagerated to the point you tell yourself "thats imposible" but the character is fearly strong.

the story is very interesting and will not keep your bored and makes you more and more into the story and its style

I just stumbled on this the other day, was a fantastic read. If you like action/adventure/fantasy it will be hard not to love. The chapters are long as well so its a bit longer read then it appears on the surface.

And It's really not “Masterpiece” Compared to some other once there...

but, The Thing is you give it 10 means it's your thing...
you give it 1 it's not your type (of liking)...
everybody has their own different point of view...

It's 9/10 For Me (by today)... ^_~

After you kill a seemingly-immortal god by breaking his neck, you are left with the question of what to do next. If you decide to cut off his head and punt it pokemon style, then so be it. Be aware, however, that I'll drop the series and consider it crap.

I haven't read much Chinese Manhua in the past, but if they all have such linear story telling coupled with Godly art then i would love to pay from my pocket if they were to be translated

i was blown away by this manga's epicness, it has a mix of every genre you can think of and the execution is Brilliant...the story of Weak-Strong ain't told in the same way like those Shonen Cliche mangas where they are Wimpy and weak but instead we have a strong level-headed guy who keeps upgrading with each passing arc and with meaningful powerups not your WTF how did he get it kinda thing

Overall it has a Great story + Fantastic Pacing + Subtle Romance (No Harem Yay) + Epic fights + Beastly Art + Well-rounded Characters = Feng Shen Ji
