This series is one big nightmare that somehow got pitched as the rom-com. The skin suit chapter is one of best scenes of character losing his mind and last remnants of reason. It's also played as part of romance. The sex chapter is the abomination that should not be.

This manga has some genuinely good relationship writing in it. The main characters change their dialog style and conversations as they get closer and closer, and after the the following arc has been very well done. Its very well made in that way. And beyond the over the top nature as a cover, the characters do have good limits and vulnerabilities they're covering up.

The other half of the situation is that the manga is just incredibly weird. Weird in, "I'm not sure if the author has ever met a human or can understand what humans are" way. Its really something that needs to be read yourself and experience as it comes to appreciate. Describing any of it wouldn't do it justice, but thinking of the manga like a reptile's guide to human courtship is a fairly accurate description.

It starts off a bit odd but after a while (a dozen or so chapters?), the tone changes and now I just find it adorable!
