Mature and Melancholy

If you read enough seinen about college kids there's this "ahh I have to grow up, and the world is hopeless" vibe to them. That's not necessarily a criticism though it happens enough that it can be. This work is similar yet better. Everyone feels down throughout their life and people can point to certain periods where this is likely to happen, and these kind of things make good stories so I can't fault them for that.

This manga is similar in the sense that it carries a melancholy air. It is more mature than the material it spun off(as far as I can tell). But the ending is a lot more hopeful, growing up in this is not negative. And that's what this is, a coming of age story. By going back to a crush she had, she sees the differences between who she was and who she is, and more about a situation beyond her needs. I should also point out, it's not a crush in a romantic sense. The guy is much older and he was like a father figure to her, she bonded with him and he simply had to moved on with his life(and her own dad had died before) after he moved out of her house since he was a boarder.

Before reading it, I presumed it was one story about a girl and her search for a love she could no longer have... Well, that story ended after two chapters and it seemed to be 5 different stories. CAUTION, chapter/story 04 is a bit mature.

Now, for the 'reviews'. The art is acceptable; its a bit of CG (At the beginning) and a lot of sketching. The edditing was good, and I can't blame the scanlator, they only want to please the read with a fast release (that and that no one is absolutely perfect). The translation is excellent; you can almost exactly understand what the original author wanted to portray. xD anyways, good job AnimeWave.
