From Chibi Manga:
Momoko is just a normal waitress who works at a café, but suddenly a fateful romance appears right in front of her...

Really good. It's a slow paced story, but it has the texture and feeling of real life. The characters are terrific. Characters and dialogue are always Mitsuki Kako's strength, and I especially appreciate how she likes "manly" male characters. Now I don't mean men who are excessively macho but just men who act and talk like real guys. The main couple is intelligent and interesting, but also seem like real people which makes the romance more emotionally affecting.
Her art is sooooo pretty too. The story's only weakness is when it tries to have a dramatic plot (this is always Mitsuki Kako's weakness). For example, in this story there's an inane plot point where they have to hide their relationship at work for some reason and it's hyped up like it's going to be so dramatic, but then later on when their relationship is discovered everybody congratulates and supports them... so there was never any real stakes? So there was no point to this and it was a total waste of time.
The manga really excels though when it sticks to its strengths. The core of the story is excellent.
There is only 1 review here. (Got this recommended by a random tumblr blog). https://www.tumblr.com/addictedtomanga/653313031414136832/best-male-characters-in-shoujo-josei-manga-in
I don't particularly love the authors other works either (except Fly High)
Anw, In painfulnightz we trust finger crossed
Update c.1: gosh the sudden noncon kiss frustrates me sm. Ugh. Like ew who kisses a person they just fcking met. Do authors think that it is sexy ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ no.
"Is this women's new way of seducing?" is the cringiest line i've ever read in shoujosei
Last update:
The art is pretty. This should have been everything i'm looking for in a shoujosei. But somehow i just can't feel the chemistry. She's adorable, he was a jerk at the start that sexual assualted her but was bleached by boy friend material nice behavior. Anyway, the pace is so fast, i can't absorb it so i drop. Bye. Have fun reading
This manga is off to a pretty good start but I was left wishing for more. I don't know if it's because there is more and it's just not scanned or what. The male lead was a little too mean to the female lead at first (at least for my taste) but that's typical of josei so I let it slide.
In terms of bases hit, I believe they only kiss after the first chapter. But it's a memorable kiss!
