Everyone is an idiot in this manhwa

The art was very weird but I can get past that if the story is good.
No, no it's not. After initial torture of reading it, I just started skipping through it because nobody used even one braincell.
The main girl, just in the beginning, goes along with a guy and let her buy clothes without even knowing him for what week? Who does that?
She is a great painter apparently and gets admitted to a great school because who cares about putting hard work, she is just magically amazing. I know what her paintings are like, one with that blue background with one white stripe running vertically. It's a perfect metaphor for this story too because the main girl is just plain but glorified.
And everyone falls in love with her, why? Give me some reasons that why every guy likes her? Her personality is bland. She just gets stupidly into dangerous situation and has self preservation of wood stick.
The heroes, they are of course young, handsome and madly in love. I think they are all collectively using one braincell because their reason for falling in love with heroine are so idiotic! The story is all over the place, why is king of nation going personally to rescue her without any back up. Why is he going with the rescue team in first place, you are a king?Use your damn brain, sit down and let the professionals do the work. I can point out so many flaws. There is a limit to melodrama.
The only people I like is that one badass bodyguard female, make her the main character, seriously she had more personality in one chapter than the heroine has in the whole story.
If I wanted to see a romantic story, I would prefer reading about that bodyguard and the girl who went in as spy. Give me that love story.
And my god, I still remember this one, that uh a kid, does something to revenge his dad. And the heroine is like you can't hurt him. First of all he is a minor, he can't be tried as an adult for a petty crime.
And if the law in that country allows minors to be thrown in prison for smallest thing, I think human right council should intervene.

this is like a harlequin romantic tragedy in comic (tragically comedic and illustrated) form. the plot is infuriating, but if you're in the mood for tragic figures crashing against each other like waves in a storm go for it.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
nobody's the "good guy" in this story.

Lose interested
I would read it if i was in many years ago. I could stand melodrama with tragedy at that time
Now my heart can't handle it

100% perfect tale of abuse

Really, this manhwa is a perfect representation of a toxic relationship! The tyrannical guy who is a sweet prince at the same time and equally sweet heroine who got swept into arms of her dangerous but irresistible lover. It's actually better than other romances with abusive guys and much more believable dynamic between main characters. I wish that it ended with a divorce and a sad conclusion that their love was so great that it was bad for both of them. Unfortunately, it's a shoujo so...

I enjoyed it nonetheless. 6/10!

This manga was honestly pretty good. The art was amazing. The storyline was not too cliche and was interesting (pretty unpredictable at times); it was nicely paced. Though a FAIR WARNING to readers who prefer fairytales and happy endings with minimal drama, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD READ. Reading this was literally a rollercoaster of emotions ranging from both sides of the spectrum. The author did an amazing job of planning out the sequence of events.

Oh boy this sure was a lot. It was a bit too much and over the top for me the constant action and drama was too much and became very tiring. That being said it was most definitely interesting. Im in love with the art style. I see some people didn't like the art cause the lips, to me the lips made the art. I loved everything about the style. The fashion choices were really amazing as well but honestly the lips were my favorite. I think they looked beautifully drawn and in my opinion its what most animes and mangas are missing. The fact that characters never seem to have defined lips has always bugged me. Any time I see people kiss in a manga without defined lips i cant help but just imagine them rubbing their face flesh together.

Everyone had been recommending this one and I thought, "it looks really good." I was wrong. The art style I didn't enjoy very much with the big lips and the story was faaaarrrrr to dramatic for me. I like Kdramas and all, but this went from one thing to another way too much.

The Feels

Maybe it's not cup of tea? Partially my fault too anyway because I dived right into it seeing that I was desperate(?) and thirsty(?) for some manhwa action but, well, the drama was just too much for me to handle and I thought that the mangaka was kind of dragging the series(?) idk but I just couldn't bare till the very end.
Anyway, I enjoyed it till halfway through. [SPOILER] When she started losing her memories and all the other mafia shenanigans came into view, my brain died and I quickly dropped the read. I just can't go on.
But if you enjoy drama and have a high tolerance for nonstop, marathon tearjerking events, then go for it. The art's pretty and the initial storyline is not bad either.

U think the sexual assaults in red river were bad

Then you have seen nothing yet. This girl manages to get assaulted so many time but she is still able to keep her virginity (have a feeling i spelled the word wrong haha). This manga is not for a light hearted reader who only read fluffy stuffs like kare's first love. The drama doesnt fucking stop. It was an enjoyable read with cliches and hot guys (a lot of time half naked). It is not bad, but not extremely good either. The male lead was possessiv (even that is an understatement) and so are the other hot guys. The mc is not stupid, maybe brave, but a lot of time vulnerable (you would think she would learn how to fight and use a gun after getting kidnap so many time). The ending was nice, but left s bitter taste. I would recommend it for k-drama lover and bored manga reader who is just looking for something addictive to read.

Melodramatic will-they-wont-they romance

Overall, this manhwa...is very....veeeerrryyyy exhausting. There are a lot of good things about it, but there are also a lot of bad things about it. The better aspects are: (1) Lovely Artwork and (2) Decent Pacing. I really appreciated that the author can handle most of the technicalities involved in concocting a story.

On the other hand, however, there are also a lot of problems. Depending on your tastes, you will either love or hate the melodrama. Me? I absolutely and unequivocally despised it. There are parts where I can understand the involvement of drama: when the trauma/mental instability was involved, because as someone surrounded by depression all her life....yeah. Anyways, there's just always this "I'll never see you again >>> Then they go to each other again while not wanting to >>> vice versa". Geez!

The biggest no-no is the nature of the romantic relationship of the main couple. Jarte is basically a crazy nutjob who obsessed over an innocent woman. Jay was decent (most of the time anyways), but we also see that some of the madness rubbed off on her. To me, it was a very abusive relationship. I never understood why Ben or Princess Lucien were tolerant of Jarte's insanity. Hell, they even support them getting together!

After the rather cute start, the manhwa just kinda didn't know what to do with their story. The comedic parts (signaled by comedic chibi art) being mixed with the "darker" melodramatic ones - yeah, it was distracting, because I didn't know how to take the scene in.
