Our protagonist, Shakudou Takeru wakes up in a pile of debris. Before him, is a Tokyo completely unknown to him, ruled by people clothed in military uniforms...
5 Volumes (Complete)

This manga is relatively unique in its own way.
The story keeps you occupied and is interesting enough to pull you in. Furthermore, the protagonist, Takeru Shakudou has that typical I-need-to-save-everyone attitude and is carefree yet serious when he needs to be. He is likeable in my opinion because he gives off a good vibe and a strong personality.
I love the side characters already! Everyone plays a role in this story and thats something you dont read everyday! Still, not many chapters has been scanlated yet so I cant tell for sure how good it will be. I just hope it doesnt turn out clichè or predictable... So and so, this manga has succeeded to please me. (It kinda reminds me of DGM too...)
10/10 for now~~
Only two chapters so far, and it's pretty interesting. Edit: In Japan, it's up to at least,10 chapters. Only the first three are available online. Even the third chapter is very interesting....
It's like, what would happen if North Korea was turned into a manga...., and woo-lah, this is my idea manga of what it would be like. Except, it's not North Korea, but an isolated Tokyo. The higher-ups have electricity. The poor souls are turned into tools/slaves and have no electricity and running water.
On top of that, we got a mysterious main character, who only remembers what life was like two years ago. Thus, it must mean his memories were messed with or something to that effect? (The hospital gown gives it all away.)
1/15/13 Edit: Ok, I finally got a chance to look at the Japanese chapters, and from what I gathered.... (Spoilers beyond chapter 2.)
We find out throughout the story, that our main character, Takeru, was dead for some time. Or, as he puts it in chapter 9, he was "supposed" to be dead and simply laughs it off (as he's strangely alive). He then asks, "Then, what exactly is the present me with the strange right hand!?" Fujimaru, one of the 'seven prisoners' who ends up on Takeru's side due to his tragic past, says more to himself, ".....Such an optimistic....bastard."
(Fujimaru's character reminds me of D.Gray-Man's Kanda...)
Anyways, the point is I'm now curious as to how Takeru "died", how he was labeled as "Incompatible" on the computer screen, what happened to him during those "two years", where is his brother (who left behind a black cloth), and how does mute Shirayuki know his brother??? I doubt Takeru sat in that hospital bed in some kind of "dead coma" appearance for two years... @_@ Furthermore, how they got him to have that crazy magma hand ability....
Speaking of Shirayuki, she's adorable! ^^; All she can do is nod or shake her head. That makes communicating really tough. You have to wonder how old she is, exactly... Her existence reminds me of the manga, "R^2, Rise R to the Second Power" where that unfinished manga also contained a mute little girl that must be protected.
So, these are my updated observations. My interest has peaked upward. 🙂 Takeru may appear to be Mr. Happy-go-lucky, but he does have his serious side as well.
Back to original portion of this post. -->
The manga's title can kind of throw you off, but it's incorporated pretty well. 😀 I like it.
I'm gonna keep tabs on this as long as its storytelling continues at this pace. This manga has potential as long as it doesn't contain the terrible shounen-esque cliches (and it's a seinen, but even seinens can get annoyingly filled with them + stupid unnecessary fanservice).
Note: I rate it 9, for now. It's subject to change.
