This one is a bit difficult to put into words. On one hand, it has a fairly solid premise and cast. On the other hand, it feels like the author suddenly went "Oh wait, this is not overly cliche romance. How do I make this into romance...." Which is sad because at some point it starts feeling like everything that was good about this just got shoved into a "cliche romance"-mould. Except it just, doesn't fit. At All. Very sad.

Crybaby, dogy complex and dumb ML with FL complex,
Dense FL with OP plot,
Trash story about being retired and still obtaining power and Superficial character development.

Both art and story were excellent in the 1st season. I fell in love with the art since it was so beautiful. The story cuts to the point as well.

However, the 2nd season was fairly disappointing for me. The artist changed, resulting in different style, which ok but not to my liking. At least not enough for me to keep reading it.. I mean, suddenly all of the faces drawn in similary way.

The story still great tho!

The art is nice. Sometimes I think the male lead could look better, sometimes proportions are a little weird, and if you think about it the artist isn’t great at drawing hands, but those things aside everything else is quite good. And the dog. So cute. The male lead as a dog is very good.

The characters are great. The female lead is an actual adult and acts like one! She’s sensible and reasonable, and takes charge of her own life! The male lead is also so cute as a dog and in his human form. His innocence really pairs well with and balances out how he’s thousands of years old and a super powerful demon.

The humor is on point and I laughed out loud several times while binging this ‘til the latest chapter.

There isn’t a plot so far and it’s more of a slice of life as things keep happening so the FL then does stuff in response and then something else happens ‘cause of that etc. etc. and I appreciate the lighthearted laidback pace.

The other male leads (well, two of the three anyways) are cute too and I wish there were an entire other story with the FL and the 1st prince as a pair lol. Or a spin-off R18 version of this story ohoho.

Speaking of, the romance is cute. They fall for each other a bit quick so there isn’t any build-up to blush over unfortunately, but on the flip side it does show how the male and female leads just have a nice comfortable dynamic and get along to begin with.

The story’s a fun fantasy with magical beasts and talking swords and, well, a demon and the like. It’s entertaining and well executed.

Solid story in my book.

I have a soft spot for stories where the mc wants to live peacefully but they can’t escape their greatness. However it’s often disappointing because of how predictable the story can be, or because of a failed romance.
This webtoon is an excellent take on this sub genre, and it’s thanks to its characters, they are very refreshing !

I love how cool the female lead is, she’s honest, funny, and bold. I love her interactions with the other characters, I wish there were more female leads like her.
The ml is adorable, trying to act as a wolf when he’s actually a puppy regarding love matters, getting all flustered when she’s assertive with him x) He’s an unconventional kind of male lead, i really love the duality between his sexual innocence and his bloodlust haha
Their chemistry is perfect ! Their relationship starts with friendship, it’s built on trust and respect, and I love it. Yes the romance is slow, but it is so rewarding.

The side characters are also very good, I especially love her friendship with the first prince I really hope it will stay that way.
The world building and the storytelling are great too. The story is predictable, and everything falls into the fl’s lap, but it’s fun since she’s such a great character.

It’s a light read but a very enjoyable one. Only 26 chapters for now, I can’t wait to read more

I like this so much! It’s full of fluffss! It has a light plot but it’s going somewhere… the season has just ended and I’m waiting patiently for more cute adorable fluffs!
