Not really a fan of the main couple (they're boring. Sorry fans) cause the side couple was more interesting to read

I only read this for Chihiro and Shinobu. Hikaru and Sayaka weren't my cup of tea.

This comic is a cliche yet surprisingly fresh manga. The story plays on love at first sight with two suzukis (one black hair tsundere (Shinobu) and one cutie red head (Hiruka)). I earnestly believe that 70% of the story focuses on Suzuki/Sayaka, which gets really tiring after a while but can also be really cute. I love (as most fans) Shinobu/Chihiru. What makes this a fresh story is that it parallels both love stories as well as have all four people as good friends. Never once did Chihiru hate Sayaka for being loved by her childhood friend Hiruka Suzuki, but instead cheered them on. I found this surprising since most mangas heavily rely on this feud for the sake of drama.

So in short I highly recommend it. Heck, I searched everywhere until I found spanish translations of this comic (Thank you spanish class!)
10/10 for art, it's absolutely beautiful and wonderfully aids all of the shoujo cuteness and humor.
8.5/10 for story. It's fresh, but not too fresh.
+1 for Shinobu/Chihiru relationship (I mean, come onnnn. That's why we really read it).

Finished the series by reading the chinese raw. This manga was only good because of Shinobu and Chihiro tbh. Hikaru and Sayaka starts off as a cute couple, but they got together so fast like wth?? Ikeyamada Go focused so much on them that it started to become boring and then annoying. Sayaka is just plain awful orz

Hikaru and Sayaka's relationship becomes annoying because of all the unnecessary drama that keeps going on and on forever. And sometimes Sayaka is just so dumb /facepalm.
Shinobu and Chihiro on the other hand, have a more complicated relationship that makes you at least curious as to how they're going to end up together. Plus, Shinobu's unrequited feelings are just so sadly cute ;;
After this one, I am gonna stay away from Ikeyamada Go's mangas I guess. Moe Kare was good but ever since Uwasa no Midori-kun, it was as if she ran out of better ideas /sighs

well for me the manga is boring when the story about Hikaru and Sayaka's -_-' i hate 'em as a couple , i wish they would bring more Hikaru and Sayaka's in the story >< it well be more exiting

Personally I would rather read about Shinobu and Chihiro! They are soooo cute together<3 That and the fact that their relationship history is a lot more interesting then Hikaru and Sayaka's... I mean theirs is so anti-climatic and i literally just skip over any pages involving their relationship; which is almost every page -_- I like them as their own characters, but I really wish that Go-sensei had made the main couple ChihiroxShinobu.

i still love this manga even though i don't like the part about sayaka losing her memory.
I feel sorry for hikaru that she was with another man and hikaru wasn't not the first love experience[s**] that is. Knowing that he was he first boyfriend was supposed to be the only b/c of the promise they made to each other. Still love IKEYAMADA Go works especially moe kare and get love!!(get goal!!)

I wasn't really too interested in this series for the first 7 volumes. There weren't any real problems (at least in my mind) because everything was really cliche, problems were solved easily, and honestly the relationship between Hikaru and Sayaka is very boring (esp since the mangaka overdoes it with their relationship). I seriously just read it because I really liked Chihiro and Shinobu (sorry Hikaru x Sayaka fans!). But once they hit high school, that's when the really interesting parts of the manga happened! Already looked through the raws and am SUPER excited for scanlators to continue this project that has become one of my faves

...that skims through Sayaka's/Hikaru's parts. They're both giant eyesores.

And seriously? How are two middle schoolers both so slutty? Hikaru can't seem to keep his tongue to himself, even in public (and, not to mention, is possessive as hell), and Sayaka

And for an actor, Sayaka is an awful one. She I really can't get over how ignorant and useless she is, either.

But +1 because I like Shinobu.
