"Nightmare Busters" is set in Tokyo in 2034. A mysterious illness known as coma syndrome, which causes people to remain asleep, is discovered, but the cause and treatment are unknown, leaving patients' families in deep despair. One day, office worker Ichijo gets lost in a mysterious world. There, he meets a girl being chased by people known as the Administration Bureau, who tells him that this is a dream world and that they are trapped inside it. Fortunately, Ichijo wakes up and discovers that the girl he met in his dream is a coma syndrome patient, and sets out to save her.
