Hakumei to Mikochi is incredibly good, it's probably my favorite slice of life, everything is so good, the designs are great ,the atmosphere, the creativity in every detail of the world, i love this manga and i can't recommend it enough, it's SO underrated it hurts, hope we can get a way to read this digitally soon.

Do you want hot blooded, violent manga with fast pacing and a complex story? You won't find it here. Instead, you will find the relaxing everyday lives of a couple of forest faeries and their interactions with their neighbors. It has an episodic format, and there's never conflict nor violence. Even when there's trouble with the inhabitants of a strange anarchic city, in the end it all resolves in a light hearted way.

It speaks highly of the author's abilities that he manages to make a very interesting manga maintaining that happy tone, in a large part thanks to the very interesting characters and superb world building. The art helps, too; while the humanoid characters are very simple in style, the backgrounds are gorgeously drawn and detailed.

If you want to read something relaxing, you can't go wrong with Hakumei to Mikochi.

Hakumei to Mikochi is probably one of the finest iyashikei manga on the market. Excellent and adorable characters, a gorgeous setting (true scenery porn) and wonderful world building. All in all it's a lusciously illustrated marvel.

This ranks right up there with other iyashikei manga like Neko Musume Michikusa Nikki, Aria, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, NNB, Natsume Yūjinchou and Yotsuba.
