It started off a mixed bag with some potential to be good but it wastes the majority of its pages on uninteresting side characters and sub-par action scenes. The finale is satisfying for how they handle a single character out of the whole cast and the journey there has too much filler.
Definitely avoid this unless you're crazy into the premise and don't mind the side characters.

It got Axed.
It was really good but the pace was too slow for a monthly chapter. The final arc where it got axed was even slower. I'm hoping it gets a reboot/remake at some point but I'm not holding my breath.

Its good in the beginning but kinda falls apart story wise after chapter 20.
Boring MC, dumb as a sack of bricks female sidekick, disjointed plot with bad pacing, mediocre art, pathetic "romance".

I really dislike the female characters. They usually don't do much fighting, and when they do, it's a weaker version than the male characters.

I'm especially ticked off at Charlotte and that princess chick's abilities.
Although they are high ranking students in the magic school, they are so weak when dealing with a high stakes situation. They always have to get saved.
It gets kind of annoying.
Charlotte even says that she wants to be strong to protect Slow and to prove herself as his bodyguard but...it's just words. Like, I have yet to actually see this chick have a non-cutesy fight to the death with some enemy character. Because that's all She is. Eye candy. Still, even if that's the case, then the least you can do is own up to it. Don't say that she's going to be strong, and then treat her like a background fanservice heroine. It's annoying.

Pretty decent manga. It flows pretty well and the characters seem alive enough. There are quite a lot of unrealistic parts, but they're not too much of an issue. The main issues are how he's pretty much oinking all the time for no reason whatsoever and how he seems to love charlotte for no real reason other than that the previous owner of the body did so. While it seems that he actually got influenced more than what normally happens in these transmigration stories, this was never really stated so it remains a mystery just to what extent he changed upon fusing with the duke. Some scenes would make it seem that he actually not only absorbed that guy's memories but also pretty much everything he has, but it was more of a fusion rather than absorption the guy who transmigrated just had the dominating will, seeing how he actually sees himself as a person from another world yet acts as if denning's feelings and memories are his own and he even dreams of the past of this body...
So, I guess he also got the feelings that the duke had for her? Probably. In the first place I don't really feel like charlotte is that good of a character, but she's decent enough.
I actually feel like the manga works better for this story than the original novel due to the quicker pace and less time spent on bad parts, meaning they're not that noticeable.
Overall, I enjoyed this story and would happily read more chapters when they come out.
