Description
Quoted from 4dawgz (the scanlator)-
"So there's a magazine called Gelatin where various manga artists are given some coloring crayons and then told to draw whatever they want in full color. The plot for this is about a guy and a girl who go on a mission to retrieve a pair of shorts from an island... aaaaand that's it. All you'll find is a nice slice-of-life story and lovely colored pages."

It's a simple story of the kids who are growing up on two islands not very far apart in Japan's Inland Sea. It's all color, and the handling of colors is very fine. In particular, the artist managed to catch something of the luminous and saturated look that sea and sky get in tropical settings. This artist really catches the effect of a tropical sun much brighter than most of us get to live in!

The manga is too short to have any kind of complex story, but it does convey something of how people who have spent their whole lives in a very pretty place act and look. I loved imagining being one of them.
