This is some good yakuza smut, however the ending was trash. I held off on reading this forever because the ML has a bad haircut with safety-goggle type glasses. Even though I'm not happy with the ending, the plot was great. The art was pretty good, too.

Wow. The ending really took it up a notch. The last 3 volumes were a lot more intense than the rest. I had a certain expectation after reading a few other Yakuza romance stories but this one actually didn't quite go the way I expected it. You still get an HEA but it's not all sunshine and roses.

If you absolutely love the king/prince/very powerful male lead x ordinary/commoner female lead trope, you'll probably enjoy this.

I personally didn't so much.

They fall in love at first sight and the rest is just trope fodder - him showering her with presents, endless love proclamations, everyone wants to kidnap the female lead (and does so in every arc), both leads becoming obsessive, repetitive smut scenes... I guess I would have enjoyed all of these things if the foundation of the story wasn't so flimsy, if they just had a period of actually having time to fall for each other instead of jumping from "who are you?" to "I can't love without you" almost instantly. But that's just me :/

The artwork wasn't bad and it's probably the only reason I made it this far.

I dropped it because the arc stories got predictable and boring - I got to the part where and I just could be bothered anymore.
