Only you are special.
After school, Kotaro Nakayama returns to school to pick up something he forgot and finds Shiho Shimotsuki asleep in an empty classroom. Shiho is rumored to be Ryoma Ryuzaki's crush, a popular boy who has formed a harem in his class, but she is always expressionless and no one has ever seen her smile.
But now, her fair skin is holding Kotaro's hand...?! The "secret relationship" between the heroine and the mob begins!
2 Volumes (Ongoing)

Alright, so it's been established that
Shiho has a special ability related to her hearing.
What are the chances that her arrogant childhood friend has one too?
Like, it's not normal that
all 3 girls apart from the FMC jumped ship into the other guy's harem all at the same time. Not normal that his step-sis basically doesn't acknowledge his existence in school. Not normal that the other guy is suddenly super popular without any standout qualities aside from looking a little sharp. Not normal that the MC is hearing strong mental suggestions whenever he sees his own reflection.
p.s. Remember kids, it's not "Netorare" if the victims were not in a relationship.
Someone who was never yours, can never be stolen from you.
On the flip side, it's also not "Netori" if the "target" was also not in a relationship.
You can't steal someone who never belonged to someone else.
The correct term is simply called "Jealousy" and it's debatable if that's even a problem here.
"Netorare Vibe"? Not in this manga.

The failed attempts at creating internal dialogue are unbearable, and literally every character besides Shiho and Azusa is extremely unlikeable, if not pure trash. This includes the protagonist. His absurdly self-sacrificial and self-deprecating attitude, the constant (terrible) internal dialogue, the author was obviously and unsuccessfully trying to emulate Hachiman from Oregairu.
I love good internal dialogue like in Oregairu, however, for it to work, the protagonist has to be actually captivating, smart, or witty. Koutarou isn't any of that, he's the direct opposite—he's a bland, delusional, and frankly just stupid.

basically yes, FMC has a special hearing and her mom has special smell in the novels.
but those aren't the most broken abilities present in the novel, the real ones are:
THE POWER OF THE PROTAGONIST: everything happens in favour of you, and you can influence easily other people making them like you irrationally, both Ryoma and shimotsuki san have this but it can be lost if their level of confidence is diminished.
THE POWER OF THE AUTHOR: it's like a birdeye sight of everything that's happening and that can happen, you can also identify which part each person plays and the most likely result of a story course, giving you the chance to mold and influence things to your liking, this power is wielded by Mary parker (great character in VOL 2) and the MC, but also when they feel like...mobs, they can only identify characters and situations but lose the power of influencing others.
