From Shoujo Sense:
I've been watching you attentively from close by... because I fell in love with you.
Only once... although we have spoken only this one time.
Oneshot (Complete)

I love the pacing of this oneshot. It feels very real and relatable because of the hurdles and obstacles she faces in the smallest things, the amount of time she spends just admiring him from afar and fantasising and even how she goes about forming her infatuation. When we're young, so much of what we do and like stems from the littlest things! Throw a bunch of kids together day after day and give them enough activities, chances are half of them will develop crushes on the other half for the vaguest reasons!
Also, in this story, the smaller things are what make it special... like the friends of both the leads being extra observant and helpful and considerate and actually progressing the plot, but not in a cliched mortifying manner. It was a very cute read, one I hope we can see more of!
The art and illustrations are cute, in a shoujo manner, more modern, less starry eyed. Some of the expressions and actions made me lol.
And omigosh! I only realised after looking at the detailed facials on page 16 of the manga that this is Kawahara sama's work! The way she draws eyes (like in Koukou Debut) is so unique. I personally think this story could have gone either way (its resolution) and I still would have liked it, but this girl just lucked out quite a bit in the quality of guy she chose!
