Asayo is a first year college student who is living alone for the first time in her life. There's a handsome blonde last year college student living next door to her, who turns out to be the heir of a famous tea ceremony family, Umenosuke Ichimatsu! Unfortunately for her, the cool student considers himself a woman deep inside, who goes by the name "Debora"!

As time goes by, Debora and Asayo share a mutual romantic disinterest to each other, but they still frequently visit each other's rooms. They consider themselves "more than friends, but less than lovers". One day, Asayo's parents go to visit her and arrive in the wrong moment where Debora is taking a bath in Asayo's room, and they accuse both of living together, but Debora tries to save the moment saying they are engaged!
