how do you think the first breaker ended was it good or bad or it doesn't matter beacuse there is a new one
me i think it was good but it lost its spark at the end and i thought that part 2 should have been 1 or 2 years latter not right where we left off otherwise i don't see the point

Would hardly call it an ending. Felt like just another chapter

Clearly you've either not kept up with the scanlation group or you've been reading some form of the breaker that got rid of all the scanlator notes/comments.

New wave is just part 2 of the series, it's still the same thing, go check the group and see what they've already told others about this series.

It's the same Breaker, part 2, period. roll eyes

I believe the change in name only derived from its shift from a monthly/bi-weekly(?) release to a weekly one. Otherwise it just feels lik enothing changed. if it hadn't changed to a weekly format i bet it would not have "ended"

it was anti-climatic like most things go, but i agree with gunner, seems like just another chapter getting ready to dive in another.

the whole ending just made shioon look so weak and useless after all he went through.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
he was literally sitting around when chunwoo was obviously having trouble, shouting "oh no" when chunwoo dropped shiho. did the ki-transfer make him that degenerate? After all the excitement of how strong and awesome he shioon was, he's reduced to being held by his head like a rag doll crying for his dear sunsengnim LIKE A CHILD. isn't he strong enough to at least get out of the evil dude's grip and take him on? he just seems to be revealed as such a tool in the end. it just goes to show he wouldn't have come so far in greatness if he weren't fed that sphere herb thing.

It was a kickass ride though, and i'm eager to see whether shioon can live up to his fail of the ending.

but i dont get why make a sequel without any wedge ( as in time skip)
maybe the author had a fallout with his current publisher
something like this happened with nana to kaoru too

I don't get why people say things like, "There's a part 2 so the ending doesn't matter." It was still the end of the series. It's like if you watch a movie trilogy and the first movie ends with the hero being pathetic. Sure, you know he steps it up in the next one but it was still the end of the movie.

You can't always have the ending being the main character being cool, triumphant and strong. At least this way you see that he as a long way to go, and that gives more excitement and suspense to the new wave.

Too many martial arts manga/manwha give the protagonist their super power ups too quickly, and after a while it becomes redundant (think bleach, naruto, dbz) where as this one still has the main character developing.

...Except the gap between the final chapter of the old series and the first chapter of the new series was roughly the same as the gap between individual chapters of the old series.

Pretty sure it's because of the way they're doing the distribution now... Pt. 2 is a web comic, isn't it?

I thought the ending was rather nice, considering there's a sequel to hop to right after. More characters, more enemies, I can't wait to see who belongs on which side and what not. I would absolutely die and go to heaven if the sequel is twice as good as the original. Best action manga I have EVER. READ.

Oops, I mean manhwa. biggrin

people complaining about how the first part ended are so annoying
new wave is just like a new arc
it's not a sequel, it's more like a continuation, a new chapter
there's a high possibility that the author decided to make new waves because it was changed into a weekly manga
there's a huge diff between monthly and weekly mangas

if you dont like what happened, then don't read it rather than complain like a chic

those who complain a lot, do you even buy it?
i'm sure lots of you haven't bought at least a chapter of it

Yeh I didn't really understand the ending of The Breaker, but hopefully New Waves might give us a better understanding.

Or maybe my low attention span has got to me again.
