So, this is preferably for books, but manga is good too.

So I'm looking for a non-human character that STAYS non-human. I hate those books you read where the main character starts off non-human, but eventually becomes human. UGHHH.
This character has to be a non-human who ACTS LIKE A NON-HUMAN. I'm sick and tired of all the werewolves acting like people, and all the vampires acting like them too. They need to be cold, calculating, inhumane.
Although, they CAN have bursts of humanity, or be human most of the time and have bursts of in humanness.

I don't care what kind of creature, or thing they are, as long as they don't act like a human, and never become one. Oh! and the book/manga has to be from their point of view.

Please and thank you!

Edit; For an example, think of Bella from twilight after she's been made a vampire. Then have her slaughtering that group of hunters instead of letting them go. That's what I want, basically. Does that make sense?

so vampires have to be devilish pricks, and werewolves have to be dogs with little more inelegance than that?

im sorry but what you are looking for is actualy not in manga, often at least, there was one vampire one, Vampire Fantasy its a oneshot, but generally that would be it.

look at it this way, a vampire in western media, loves hundreds of years and is somehow bested by someone in their 30's. now you want to go realistic, that would never happen, especially in todays world (if they existed). they would blend in with human society, if possible, or live in the outskirts only coming in for blood (if that was necessary for them ot live). now that said, vampires, if realy, wouldn't be like a monster movie villain like you want them, they would be more like humans.

and for werewolves, its the same, monster movies portray them in a horrible light, but lets assume that they have some amount of control, it would be like if a man had a hormone "overdose" (dont know th medical term) of lets sat testosterone, that would make him more inclined to act violently, but in the end its his actions that speak out.

basically what you are asking for is something that puts the typical villians as the enemies and only showing them to be prickish douchebags, and i honestly don't thing there is a manga like that, especially one worth reading.

all that said, here are two for you to look into,
vampire bund - manga, i couldn't bring myself to watch the anime, i read i believe 3 volumes, and its fairly good,
princess resurection - this one i read to chapter 30 or so, again its a fairly good one. i think the over all plot so far as i read is stupid, but the chapter to chapter plots are intresting enough to make up for it

One of the best vampire novels I've read: Sunshine by Robin McKinley

It has the typical plot setup: girl with [insert supernatural power] meets vampire. But that's basically where the cliché stops. The vampires are, and continue throughout to be, decidedly nonhuman.

...and I read your last statement just now... Sunshine is not from the vampire's point of view. Most (and my favorite) stories from the vampire's (or whatever's) point of view start with the protagonist being human, and then changing... so your request would not really apply.

Also, you'll not find many stories from the point of view of someone cold and calculating, because people usually can't relate and won't like the book. A long time ago I remember reading a book or two about a dragon shapeshifter... I think he would eat children and women he seduced and such, but I don't remember what it was called.

The Laughing Vampire, is probably the closest thing I can think of.

No, not really. What I meant was that by "not being human" I want them to be inhumane; basically, I want them to be "evil".

Thanks for the suggestions y'all.

Vampire Chronicle by Anna Rice (maybe?)
from the start, Lestat never act or pretending to be human. He never pity any human he ate, and always say that human is a prey, he never hesitate to kill someone.
although other character such as Louis behave like human.

Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series.
well, mostly vampire, werewolf, wereleopard, wereswan, and another were-were.. in this series behave like them self [wild, cruel]. I think you would like it. Just remind you, it's main point is romance and action.
I recommend this highly coz I like this series. eyes

For books I second Sunshine. Sorry I can't think of any others right now.

For manga, try Kuroshitsuji. It's about a boy who makes a deal with a demon, and while the boy can be both good and evil, the demon is decidedly evil. There's no pretense that he just wants to be human or something like that. He laughs at humans. This demon has no morals and everything he's done, he's done ultimately for himself.

I agree with you; I hate when every supernatural in every book I read wants to become more human like, often because of a person i their life. I mean, at first it's like, okay, but it gets old. Kuroshitsuji is great, though, because you are still able to like the main characters and root for them, despite the fact that they (especially the demon) are actually kind of horrible people who you would not want to meet in real life.

Noblesse perhaps? The main character may be masquerading as a human, but he never actually pretends to be one. It's quite weird how he and Frankenstein manage that.

Well, it's not exactly what you're looking for,
but Carmilla is the closest thing I could think of.
Carmilla's nature doesn't change,
but it's told from the POV of one of her victims.

They do indeed make vampires and weres appear too human,
with all that romanticization crap.
Sometimes I just want a nice gore-filled story...

Edit:

Also not exactly, but demon-king-guy from Masca is quite the devil. ;p
He's so cat-like. Lazy and kind of evil. : D Such a fun character...
Which reminds me, I should catch up on recent releases. X3

Edit 2:

Maybe... Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro?
Haven't read it myself, but I did sneaked a few peeks...
Seems to be diabolic throughout? biggrin

Eek, seems it's already been suggested.
*scoots off to bed*

I can't think of any manga, but I think that "Wild Blood" by Nancy A. Collins may fit. It's a book about werewolves and they are really... animal-like. But there's a lot of blood, violence and nasty things in this book, it's not for sensitive people...
