I've actually thought about this too. If Naruto does end up with anyone it'll probably be Hinata but I'd say Karin and Naruto would go well together for whatever reason. Also, Kushina did tell Naruto to be with someone like her and I'd say Sakura or Karin would be the best fit. When I see Hinata and Naruto they are just plain awkward and it seems pretty clear to me that Sakura doesn't have an interest in Naruto in a romantic way (though Karin doesn't play a big role, ie. we don't what her thoughts are, so she's unlikely to be with Naruto).

My reactions if Naruto were to end up with...
Alone - smile
Hinata - none
Sakura - dead
Karin - eyes
*coughSasukecough* - biggrin

The thing about Naruto & Karin being soul-mates may be a possible idea. But, if you consider that they are from the same clan name, it may be unknown whether or not they may be distant cousins. It may be some form of unknown incest if they were to form a romantic relationship.

I understand that the red hair signifies the Uzumaki inheritance of who they are - descendants of special chakra and unknown potential. This in effect explains how Karin is capable of doing the things she can do. And because of Naruto's mother, the Uzumaki bloodline, the inheritance is in his bloodline as well.

But who can say that Karin was a distant niece to Kushina? Remember, during the war, the Uzumaki clan had to disband and abandon their homeland while spreading across to different regions through random selections. Families, relatives, and friends had to separate in order to survive. Uzumaki members are practically instinct.

It seems odd that Naruto would be alone if there were other Uzumaki members living in the village. His mom (an Uzumaki-clan member) was the wife of the GOD DAMN HOKAGE. Because of this, I have to assume that almost all people of the Uzumaki bloodline who were scattered were not in Konoha. The very little that still remained, were probably used by the ANBU ninjas. Especially since Orichimaru (born in Konoha) had access into using Karin as his environmental assistant.

In the anime, I also remember Karin being saved by Sasuke when they were kids (during one of Karin's flashbacks).

The thing about karin being a distant cousin doesnt really bother japanese people, and just like kushina told him to be with a girl like her made me think about which of the girls in the anime were like her and aside from the temperament sakura the best match i found was karin i even had thoughts of INO but thats kind of impossible(she does saw naruto with a new light tho when he won vs pain).

What really makes me think he may end up with Karin is my believes that naruto will end up kind of like dragon ball, and i believe kishi will get the most unlikely girl to give naturo a son. And looking as how both of them are from the same clan and how naruto may end like some kind of hermit, getting Karin which doesnt have ties in a village may be a good match.

I understand that cousin-marriages are currently allowed in Japan, though the the practice has greatly declined in recent years. But I think I agree with your beliefs. In fact, Naruto & Karin are affiliated with each other on a different scale.

I mean in Naruto, clans are much bigger than simple families - because they are a lineage that has gone on for generations, which had spread out into a special group of people that earn their place in a village. Look at the Hyuuga-Clan, they keep it within the clan and you don't see Hinata or Neji with webbed toes or extra fingers right? Although, those things may occur if Hinata & Neji were to form a child. Their fathers are not just brothers, but TWINS. They are practically siblings with different mothers. But in Naruto and Karin's case, it's all just thin connection. Cousins of cousins of cousins, that sort of thing. Karin could get pregnant with either Nagato or Naruto's child and it's highly likely there would be no birth defects at all.

Uzushiogakure was not only made up of the Uzumaki-Clan. And yet, it was overly populated with Uzumaki-peeps you might as well call it the Uzumaki village. In fact, the Kage of the Uzushio village was an Uzumaki. The Kage of the Konoha village was a Senju. The Uzumaki & Senju clans were distant relatives which explains their close ties.

Anyways, let me get back to Naruto and Karin. Naruto & Karin are not in Sasuke's position. They do not need to mate in order to preserve the Uzumaki clan linage. It was said that those who survived the village's destruction scattered across the globe. The Uzumaki people are still alive but they are not together anymore. They are not a united clan. Maybe Naruto will change that when he becomes Hokage. And as Hokage, he will be briefed about his heritage. Because of this, Karin's next role will probably deal with helping Naruto relocate the Uzumaki people, and because of Karin's powers this is possible.

Masashi Kishimoto has shown predetermined consistency with his story.
Dreams, Conflicts and Accomplishments - They will all will come to past:
--- Naruto being entrusted to control the Ninetails.
--- Sasuke wanting to avenge his clan and kill his brother.
--- Rock Lee wanting to be a powerful ninja without the practice of Ninjutsu.
--- Sai trying to understand what it means to have a friend.
--- Hinata being too shy to show her feelings to Naruto has finally made it known to him. Plus, after reading this:

...It's quite obvious that Naruto & Hinata already know where their relationship is headed.

Look, the whole Karin & Naruto thing is very plausible; but, it lacks story potential because it was never meant to happen. At this point, an Uzumaki should ONLY exist to help both Naruto and Sasuke accomplish their goals. Karin being revealed as an Uzumaki has already played a huge role in Naruto's favor because without Karin, Sasuke would have died in the match against KillerBee.

Plus, Karin is too infatuated with Sasuke to even look at Naruto. I'm not saying that it's impossible - but even after Sasuke tried killing her, she still has this weird love-crush for him. Now, that's determination.

I honestly don't even remember who Karin is. When a manga only has a chapter each week, I quickly forget names that aren't mentioned constantly. laugh

@StaticHD -

About Karin's actions over the Sasuke portrait: there was a whole discussion about this at the time (you can check the past threads to see it for yourself), but basically, Karin wasn't serious about still being infatuated with Sasuke in that scene. She was pretending to be crazy so they wouldn't take the portrait away from her. It was all part of her plan for escape since she had hidden lock picks inside of it.

Her current feelings for Sasuke are unknown. Last we heard she was "done" with him, but like Sakura, she could find herself unable to move on the next time she sees him, or she could sincerely be done with him. We don't know yet.

A point in Naruto x Karin's favor is that she took an instant liking to him when they met, and for a nice reason: she thought his chakra felt "warm" (iirc). You could say she symbolically took a liking to the inner Naruto there. It's possible she did so because he's a family member and she took a sibling-like affinity for him. Or Kishimoto could be laying groundwork for them to end up married in the final chapter. It's impossible to say what he'll do with the romance.

Personally, speaking as a shoujo fan, I don't see the pictures you linked as proving a concrete build-up of NaruHina. I saw the first one as metaphorically "letting Hinata down easy" since it was the only acknowledgement Naruto has made of her trying to save him, and he did it as words of encouragement. (He was talking entirely for her benefit, not because he also felt something in return.)

I think that's the extent of how Naruto is going to deal with her confession. She didn't ask to be his girlfriend, so Naruto hasn't been forced to accept or reject her, but he's not interested, so he's not going to go talk with her about it. (He had plenty of opportunity to do so while Konoha was being rebuilt, had Kishimoto wanted to write it in.) More like, he's politely sidestepping the issue.

They could still end up married in the final chapter, but I disagree on it being "quite obvious that Naruto & Hinata already know where their relationship is headed." It's still just as one-sided as ever. Hinata acknowledged that she's still chasing him instead of walking alongside him. (In other words, there's been no change in their relationship since the confession.) She could eventually accomplish her goal of being part of his life/an equal, but it might not necessarily be in a romantic sense.

I believe it's highly doubtful that she'll end up with Naruto.

I also wanted to point out that just because Karin and Naruto are from the Uzumaki clan does not mean that they are closely related at all. Clans can be huge, just look at the glimpses we caught of the Uchiha compound alone. I doubt they were all that closely related.

Naruto and Karin literally barely know it each other. There is no mutual development whatsoever, not even friend/comrade development. I have to wonder if Naruto even knows her name. Last we saw, she was locked up in a cell *about to escape*, so she's still considered an enemy thus far and I'm not sure that will change. *though I can imagine her coming to Konoha* So it's even less likely her and Naruto will have the time to hang out and develop feelings for each other way.

But given Karin fell love by being saved by Sasuke and looking at his oh so 'charming' smile, maybe she could fall in Naruto just by shaking his hand and feeling his chakra.

Yet again someone's heart stolen by Sasuke, the only one who really likes him is Hinata. Sakura has recently said she has but she is really just pitying him as usual.

Pitying someone usually doesn't involve putting your very life at risk to protect the one you 'pity'.

True but idk depends, I just don't like Sakura or the idea of her being with Naruto lol since she was a hardcore Sasuke fan. She was always fangirling over him ahaha smile

Naruto & Karin is possible if Karin can stop fan girling over Sasuke as well, I think he must have some kind of secret charm he is using on these girls lol

Well It depends we haven't really seen that many people from the Uzumaki clan or not many people with that certain name so it makes me curious what will happen if they meet or they hear each others name (Full name).

what do you think?

I think it's impossible
Hinata is also very unlikely to me because first of all she confessed to naruto and he was like ok.he didn't even mention it later on.Sakura is in love with sasuke and she won't even look at naruto in a romantic way.sasuke is probably going to die (so sad seriously)so naruto probably won't end up with him so I think naruto will be forever alone unless kishimoto teases us and puts him with ino or someone like that

and risking your life for someone doesn't mean you're romantically interested or that you don't pity them. although I do believe she views Naruto as a good friend and comrade.

Actually although Sakura has been shown to still love Sasuke it is only a lingering affection that is why ever since Shippuden has started she has time and time again been hinted into falling in love with Naruto. I dont really see Karin being used a romantic interest for Naruto at this point but who knows.
Sakura has the best chance to be with him afterall hes always had eyes for her and besides Hinata has pretty much been politely sidestepped.

Anyways i think the only way at this point for Hinata to stand a chance is if Kishi makes a cutscene showing Naruto confronting her about the issue after the battle.
