hey guys, i'm looking for some good slice of life mangas/manhwas to read...something with social commentary, light romance or unique/weird characters.

examples: Bonnouji, Ties of Compassion, Futago, Hataraki Man, seiji no mikata, Sakamichi no Apollon etc.
no yuri, yaoi, hentai, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai please.

i've read annarasumanara and loved it - one of my favorite manhwas. i'll be checking out genshiken and torikagouso no kyou mo nemutai juunintaichi, they seem pretty interesting thanks for all the suggestions! smile

Well...I'd suggest Yotsubato? There's no real romance plot, but I'm sure you'll like it. It has a 'weird' character in it, the title character that is..or wait, most of them (all) are posessing quirky traits?

If you 'look real closely' you can 'see something' between her Dad and Fuuka? Probably not, but it's...funny enough. Ah, well. Yotsuba is a good one atleast.

i've seen yotsubato and gin no saji pop up here and there, guess i better start reading them XD. i'm currently reading otoyomegatari and absolutely adore it - the characters are so cute in their own ways. and again, the suggestions are all great so far! thanks to you guys, my reading list is being replenished. biggrin
