Hi everyone.
Does anybody know any good horror movies?
And by that I mean really good and scary movies, not gory or bloody ones.
I want something that really scares you and gives you the creeps. Where you get shocked very much and you only want to hide under your blanket. Or at least have to stare at it in shock.
Unfortunately, those movies are very hard to find on my own. Most ones that I have seen were disgusting, but not scary... so if you have any idea feel free to suggest smile

Thanks a lot biggrin

Cure (1997)
It's a Japanese horror, mystery about a detective trying to catch a serial killer. There are some bloody scenes, but the real scary parts don't involve gore. I remember at least one scene that I really wanted to run and hide from because it was so insanely creepy.

Dead Silence. biggrin Personally, I don't think it's very creepy/scary... but I have a thing for possessed dolls. It stems from my love for Slappy back in the goosebump days laugh. I still have the books too!

Shutter, one of the best I have watched in my life. This is the original version (Thai). I was looking for those kinds of movies some months ago, and the best you can pick up are Asian titles.

Thank you for those movies. I've watched all the trailers and especially shutter and dark waters have cought my interest. But all the others look nice as well. I guess I'll try to find them somewhere and get a friend to watch them with me, I can't do that alone laugh
Oh, and thanks for the dolls movie, I also kind of like creepy dolls... but even more I like creepy children xD

Pftttt, creepy children have been done to death biggrin. That, and creepy ghostly women. Have you seen the recent-ish Insidious? Normally, possession (another tiring theme) ain't that fun after awhile... but I found this one enjoyable. They took a different approach to it. I love it when people still try to reinvent an old concept.

some good, not very well known horror movies:
The Devil's Backbone(Spanish)
The Red Shoes(Korean)
Geoul Sokeuro(Korean, the American version was called "Mirrors", but the original one is much better)
They(USA)

Thank you again biggrin I'll be sure to watch them all,... till my blood freezes and I'm disabled to go in front of my door. >;D And if you have more ideas for me... you know what to do wink

@xailah Now, that you mention it,... I haven't seen many creepy movies by now, but at least 50% of the ones that I have seen involved evil children. smile I guess soon I'll hate creepy children movies, but for now there can't be enough creepy little ones xD

So far I've watched Shutter, Cure, Dark Waters and I found Ju-ON - the Grudge. They were all good, except for Ju-on. Cure and Shutter were pretty creepy, but Dark Waters I found to be more sad, than scary, actually.[a]

It's a little soft, but I thought it was creepy: Goth, the Japanese version. It's based off the manga by the same title, although the manga is a lot creepier.

I've never watched this, but I hear its really creepy, Human Centipede. I also remember something that's pretty old, The Last Excorsion (I don't think I spelled it right). Don't know if it meets your standards cause I get scared pretty easily.
