True that.

very true.. it just leads to many complications and arguments
to be honest i don't really care what happened millions of years ago. until someone invents a time machine and goes back and confims it we should all just put it to the side.

wtf.....existence of black holes got nothing to do with God?.....

i'm agnostic. I do not believe in the bible or the church or any holy books or places. I just believe God exist. And yet you, such a believer is telling us that God has nothing to do with black holes. Then is it not omnipotent? and yes it is IT not HE not SHE. IT. Comprehending the gender of God is a stupid human action.

ok...I think you might want to stop with the wonder drugs.....

I care about the origins of human. My stand is as follow: God created human. God is an all powerful being. I do not follow any specific religion. When I say God, I do mean God, not some alien scientology bs.

But if no one cared, who would build the machine? People should care.

I don't bother myself much from where we are from. What matters to me more is where we are headed. Cause as far as my point-of-view penetrates we have been doing the same cycle over and over again with no long term goals. C'mon , I mean securing a future for your off springs who again do the same is not a long term goal. I mean what is the point if you live to see to it that your off spring does the same. I know you can argue by saying you can do so many things like have fun and all that stuff but all those things become obsolete once one dies, no matter how much you believe in re-incarnation or afterlife. It is like life here is just like a trial round before you order the full package, at least to me. So I am just curious.

God created human, end of story.

Who created God? It is a never ending question that will go on.

God is not like us. He does not follow the rules of physics. He exist and always will exist.

eek My God! The bullcrap is shoved so far down your throat I..... I think it's stuck. I'm sorry there's nothing we can do. none

Just kidding, anyways the existance of a God raises so many more questions.
Why exactly did It create black holes?
Why exactly did It exterminate the dinosaurs?

Typical Response: God works in mysterious ways.

Right.....

First of all, do not be rude.

Second, black holes are not yet proven to exist. We only observed it's effect indirectly. Also, the existence of black hole have nothing to do with God.

Third, I didn't say I don't believe in the theory of evolution either. I said God created human and God does not have to be created because He does not follow the laws of physics. I'm agnostic

You are so full of your own self righteous junk that you blindly deny the existence of God all together. As a modern human of some education, you should consider all possible routes to the problem and keep an open mind

And why the hell are we arguing about who created human, this tipic should be if we care or not. Which seem to be a pretty useless topic.

If you look at the title of the topic, it will say that "Does the origin of humans matter to you." Therefore, that leads me to believe that it IS a topic asking if we care or not.

I don't know why Panic brought up Black Holes either, but yes, they do exist. We know how and why they are formed. We just don't know what goes on in them.

The existence of God seems to vague yet too perfect, due to the fact that there are many contradictions in the bible pertaining to God's commands. But, we can't prove that he doesn't exist either.

But I'm not worried about Christianity solely. I believe that through a deep study of all religions will we find the answer. I've studied many religions and one thing is for sure: The extremely delicate spark of life had to have come from somewhere. Personally, I think it's something internal rather than theistic.

I have two options here... Lock this thread, or leave it.
First option implies instant gratification for me, and 0 long term worries.
Second option implies trusting you people, and long term headaches for me. Because I happen to be part idiot (because I'm choosing option 2) and part psychic... (yup that's one of the powers you get when you become a mod) And I know that you guys won't just keep it at that. So guys please prove me wrong and stop this pointless conversation about black holes. (that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the existence or not of god btw, since if he exists, he is all mighty and can create them, if he doesn't, science has already some pretty solid theories as to how they came to be)

P.S. I don't care what you think about my opinion on black holes either. And I don't care whether he said you where an idiot and felt compelled to reply. I also don't care what is the correct grammatical gender of god.
The next off topic post in this thread will get a temporary ban.
You guys have been warned!

(That includes telling others to stay on topic!)

O yeah, I got so caught up about the Religion thing that I forgot to talk about the relevant matter. *hits head on wall due to lack of desk.*

I think the origin of humans is VERY important, due to the fact that it helps us understand how we humans got to the top of the food chain. It also describes the origin of many deep seated instincts and emotions that have led to the birth of ethics and morals. Like it or not every action that affects someone else is a moral decision. We live our lives trying to live morally. If you understand where you come from, then you'd be able to think for yourself, instead of blindly following the rules that someone else has said is right.

Another interresting thing to ask would be, Would it be good to know the Origin of humans ? .. i mean if we do originate from the monkeys or apes or whatever that would pretty much draw the entire idea of God down the drain and i think alot of people need that faith .. the other way around if we somehow could prove that God made humans it would mean that God does exist and alot of people would probaly have a hard time accepting that ... but as i said earlier .. i dont care how we came to be .. i just know that i am ( or atleast i think i know that but thats a whole other debate in itself ) and im pretty much satisfied with that.

Origin of where we came from truly intrigue me, like i found it absolutely interesting seeing human behaviors and reaction. I found it even necessary to know about ourself (specie) like seriously we barely have any in depth knowledge of how our brain truly function and it connection to things such as emotion and etc. KNOW OUR self will Indefinitely improve our life in many ways.

hmmm. The multi-verse anyone ? ( parallel universes )

@ares6

k, I agree with you on the maybe fact that God does not follow laws of physics - keeping in mind we have hardly a drop of knowledge in a vast endless ocean of it and also erasing the religious bulls**t versions of god.
I like to think of god as nothing but pure energy ( keep physics out of this, this is philosophy ). But God has to be put in that place at one point of time, cause everything has a beginning as it has an end. God as many may argue may not have an end but surely he must have a beginning.
Now I heard the small post about black holes here, some flamed saying it had nothing to do with the topic in their own rightful way; I beg to differ. remember my first line here, I like to think of B.holes as gate ways linking universes together. Cause you have to agree on the point that if there are multiple universes the path linking them with each other must be something that is very powerful ( I intended a different meaning for the word powerful here. Hope you understand me ). As far as I see B.Holes are the most awesome forces in this universe that we have discovered so far.
I will post more of my crap here after I have received some comment or flame for this one. bigrazz

..... Well in the name of Science i believe there is no wrong answer. But of course when it merge into us we are one picky bitch race, so it will probably cause a catastrophe and a lot of "evil" and law breaking panic idiots will break loose. etc

It matters a lot to me; it's a foundation of my Faith in God. When I was younger, I decided that God had to exist; how else would we have gotten here? Well, I grew up, went to school, learned about evolution, got confused, researched by reading books arguing both sides of the debate and ended up in the exact same place I was. Logically and statistically, creation just makes SO much more sense to me. And if someone created the world, it had to be God. And if there is an all powerful God who can create worlds, I want him on my side!

Honestly, I could care less. I am alive today, and hopefully, I will be alive tomorrow. All this debating between creationism and evolution is completely inconsequential to everyday life. I'm Catholic, but I believe in evolution and science. I believe in an Almighty. Why? Because it helps me to cope with the stresses of life, and it gives me someone to thank when things go right in my life. Does it really matter if He exists or not?

In any case, the only way to find out if He exists, or if He created all is when we die. If there is nothing, the Atheists are right. If there is, the believers are right. Or whatever you want to call it.
