High School was great. I wish I could get the grades I got in HS in college, when I barely even tried.

As someone who graduated with honors in HS, it's pathetic that I'm struggling in college.

Well I guess since my grades have frozen at this point I can reply to how my grades were.

I don't really fit any of the options though, I'm not really average but I don't exactly get perfect grades because I am quite lazy.

My GPA is good at 4.7, not weighted its about 3.5. I pretty much got C's in all my math classes because I lack natural talent for math and I pretty much did zero homework and never studied plus I slept in class sometimes (come to think of it Im not bad at Math, I just never get enough practice in class since I slept too much). The rest of my classes are all A's and B's though, except for AP US History, I got 1 C in that and 3 B's (I was on block schedule, so a year long course = 2 credits, so it was AP and Honors rolled into one) since I frequently forgot (honestly) that my homework was due.

I could easily have been a straight A student, but that would have been too much pointless work since I got into the University that I wanted to go to anyways (well second choice, but since my first choice had REALLY crappy dorms, or so say friends who go there, I dont really think of it as a loss at all).

I dont know my class rank, but its out of like 200 students since thats all the seniors in my school that are in the magnet program. (Damn school leeching off our FCAT (Im in Florida) scores and we dont even get our class rank bolstered by the large number of normal seniors)

the FCATs are just pure evil

In elementary, my teachers just hated me. I was the kid who always questioned everything, or added my own twists to projects. Not a duckie who stayed in line.

Middle school was pre-IB, and I got high honours throughout. I think my lowest average was 86%? I remember being very ashamed of myself. My highest marks were always in English, where you would rarely see less than 95.

I intended to continue IB throughout highschool, and I really wanted that diploma. But I never had the chance to continue my education.

(IB is International Baccalaureate. You didn't have to be smart, so much as have an insane work ethic and ability to cope with stress laugh )

I'd love the opportunity to finish highschool someday.

88% average. Each year, 88% average, in total 88% average. science and math were always above 90% english and social arts were always below 90% but above 80%

I wasnt really that good in the first three years of my highschool, but my studies have improved a lot eversince I was in form 4 and my O'levels. And then I aced all of my A'level subjects because I was so into the subjects..partly because I was my teachers' pet. xD

I got an F or two, due mostly to absence, usually in science. But then again, I got really good grades in English and History, despite being gone all the time.

Nonetheless, most of my grades were either D's or A's.

Eh~ alright... the most frustrating part at graduation was my average at 89 - so close and yet so far.... I blame English (I can analyze literature but I can't write at all for the life of me).

I had 5s in most my IB classes (out of 7) with the exception of a 6 in Chemistry and Physics. My extended essay was.... lacking to say the least.

My work ethic died out in the last year and I have only myself to blame. I attended a private school which boasted that unlike other high schools grades were not inflated. Grade inflation in North America in high schools is ridiculously high and what I have to say about my high school.... bullshit.... my IB grades serve as my evidence.

They had inflation however it wasn't as bad as other schools in the city. I've know of dozens who had 90+ averages in high school drop 20 percent in University. The averages of my friends an me either didn't drop at all, dropped less than 5 percent, or even grew in University.

This is really a sensitive thread for me, "high school grades" has become a strange word for my study although i have just finished high school several days ago.I just spend, like, one and a half year at my highschool T_T most of the time i was absent from my class, and i was almost apart from my friends at school. My examinations and tests dates are usually different from other students, and most of them got high grades ( i only got perfect grades in physics and, kinda embarrassed...philosophy,but not mathematics >.<). It's not like i hate my highschool or anything, but it can't be helped since i was chosen to participate in the international Physics Olympiad contest with 4 other guys in our nation, and from then on i studied and stayed with them in the institute. And thus,it's my destiny that being an excellent student pretty much ruined my highschool's happy memories. However it's gonna be a big change in the university, lol.

Upper average that is between 10/20 and 14/20, and over 15/20 in foreign languages (french rating system), but not enough for me to engage in the course of studies i planned to follow.

Regarding those boasting about their l33t I.Q, consider yourself lucky. Being what those fucking tests categorize as an Highly gifted person, my "gift" never got me anything good, but various hardships and worries. I would have given everything for a life as a "normal" person, one without the continuous feeling of difference and the mental scars it caused me, making me an emotional cripple.
As for those who use their abilities to their fullest, i envy you. Just keep in mind, that, whether you drive a ferrari or a tata makes no difference when the speed limit is 50kmph, except you get frustrated in the former.

lol, then how about you envy those with extremely high IQ and try to work as hard as the ones who can use their ability to the fullest (instead of envying their diligence)? People with high IQ won't be successful if they don't work with effort, reality proves it.Honestly,i haven't met anyone who is called "talented" without trying their best, maybe they do exist but it's possible that anyone can surpass them.Intelligence won't give you hardship and worries, lol,if you know how to use it.And seriously, that intelligent quotient is not very different between most of people, and it can be changed through training,i really feel weird that there are people who think of it as the measurement of ability eek, because it's not.
There are people who are more successful than you not just because they are smarter than you or they are given some "gift",they can be just as "normal"as you. It's kinda hilarious, but if they spend most of their time working for their goal, you may call them "emotional cripple",but in reality, they aren't more crippled than normal people. The reason is simple, because they are doing what they want, sometime looking back, they can feel sad (in a moment) but never regret what they did, and they are happy with it.The same goes for people who spend most of their time doing their hobby (reading manga for example, lol). As for the people who are considered "talented", the superiority in perception and thinking won't cripple them, and in my case,i haven't seen or known about anyone like that living a life with "mental scars".roll eyes
Finally,if 2 cars have the same max speed, the drivers ability will decide which will win (if you are going to compare them),given it's just a car with an average speed limit, training will help the driver remains its max speed in most of the race, frustration or envy won't help.

I passed high school with a 3.24 average despite not trying and getting lots of F's. Remember kiddies. An F is better than an incomplete. Incomplete gets you zero points. F isn't zero. Knowing that, I took lots more F's than I should have, but they were necessary. You ever get stuck with that group of people that don't do any work, and expect you to do it all? Happened to me all the time. They get really motivated when they are about to fail a class because of all the F's and you can absorb them but they can't. Did that three times in two different classes junior year and took another one during midterms in senior year. Eventually, those other people finally understood that it would beneficial for us all to work together to get a better grade than if they let me do all the work. Which would have been none.
