That is not healthy. My advice would be moderation and regular exercise. A little snack here and there for sweets, etc. I lost 15 lbs over 2 years doing that. Actually without the exercise.

somebody I knew went from chubby (she looked cute being chubby!!) to a skeleton because she only ate salad for the entire summer holiday...
I lose and won't gain.

My friend said he was on a diet and refused some Swiss chocolate, but I never really knew what his diet was like. Another friend got sick with the flu or something and didn't feel like eating much for a week or so. He lost some weight because of that, but regained it quickly. But you shouldn't fast a lot and gain back the weight ("weight cycling"), because that puts a strain on your heart and your overall body. Like that other person said, moderation and exercise is good. Oh, what I learned from wellness class is eating five small meals per day is a way to shed pounds. My textbook said you shouldn't try to lose more that a pound per week though. Then again, that book is over a decade old, so that detail should be researched.

I dont know id you would call it a diet but, I stopped drinking beer and soda, and lost like 12 pounds over night. The only problem is i started again and gained it back just as fast. I guess they call it a beer belly for a reason.
