For all the same reasons I’ll reread/rewatch a manga/anime, or a movie or a book. A good story is worth repeating and revisiting. Changing to much it would be ruining it.

It varies from months to months, years to years. It varies based on how much I make that year and how much living expense I have to pay, how much tuition I have to pay. It also varies how many trips I make to the manga stores or how willing I am to purchase "chapters" online from publishers.
For people who vote NONE on the poll, everyone else please remember manga/anime/subsequent related industries are NOT THE ONLY industries out there.
Books/Games/Videos/Local Music/Foreign Musics/hundred of other things which people are interested in. Support for the industries? Other industries are also crying for the same monetary support. People's money are not endless. In the end, you can only divide and spend so much money into limited places.

Honestly I'd be interested in finding out how many people voted "none" simply because they don't want to pay for anime/manga period. Some fans really are that entitled unfortunately, so a lack of money isn't always the reason why.

Wow, people spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on figurines (which are probably all female)? That's just... indescribably creepy. I can see spending $100-200 a year on manga, but $500+ is getting extreme. I, myself, don't spend squat on any manga merchandise because I guess I'm not that into it as many of you are. I depend on manga scanlators to feed my hobby. If they were to all get shut down, I guess I'd be SOL. I have better things to spend my money on, like bills and vacations.
