I like talking more than fighting in manga.

Also Wererat, what you just said, is called s-t-r-a-t-e-g-y. You don't show your most powerful technique in the beginning. You first evaluate the opponent, and use tricks(e.g. Shadow Clone) to evade the attacks.

talking is ok, but when they go on and on and on and on and on it gets extremely frustrating.

Gant
666 Satan
Blade of the Immortal
Hunter x Hunter
and more

Naruto is not so bad I think. I actually like the manga, and i'm usually not a fan from long series, since I get bored. I've been following the manga since volume 5 was out in scanlation. I usually get naruto mangas twice a year, that way I got enough to read, since it's so fast to read! I watched only 10 or so filler eps (post ep 135 the fight sasuke/naruto).
I don't watch shipuuden either, since they moved the filler in each episodes. Did you notice how everything is slooooooow in shipuden? yeah, the fact is they don't have the same rythm as before (2 chapters = 1 episode in the first serie), now it's more like 1-> 1,5 chapter = 1 episode. Also the fact that I read naruto twice a year make it seems a lot faster, I race through the chapters since I'm drawed into the serie smile

I've growned tired of bleach after the first big arc (64 first eps of the anime). The whole bounto arc is stupid (i'm even trying to watch it, little by little. One day I will finish it!).

I grew tired of one piece after 10+ vols. It was very fun in the begining, I even bought these manga when it was coming out in europe. But it's too repetitive.

I dislike most shounen, but I happen to despise the Bleach/Naruto fillers.

I don't hate either, I read both, and keep up to date w/ both, but I do have to say, they have their highs and their lows, sometimes they get boring, but then they pick up, 4 example, right now I find Bleach boring, but Naruto is keeping my interest....then again, everything has been done b4, so its kinda hard to come up w/ anything out of this world...P.S. eventho Bleach could have somebody die 4 drama's sake.

Perhaps, but like I said, after you've seen twenty clones snuff it, it no longer really means anything when the real thing gets hit. It just drags a fight out over multiple chapters when a real battle should be quick and decisive.

Everyone knows how Naruto and Bleach are like one of the most popular manga/animes out right now (along with One Piece and whatnot). My question is WHYYYYYYYYY?!?!?! Naruto was ok for me until filler land. God after episode 50 something it just started to drag out and after a while everytime i saw that obnoxious blonde idiot I want to throw up. (oh and Sasuke is a whiny emo little bitch who needs to be slapped (sorry all you Sasuke fans out there).) Bleach too, the Bleach plot gets really repetative. Let's see the basic plot follows the "we gotta save the damsel in distress" (Rukia then Orihime) and the "no matter how strong we get, there will always be people rediculously stronger (DBZ theory).

I agree, I don't understand why they are so popular.. maybe because many young children watch it?...(they like to see people fight... in my country, when Naruto came out translated- the blood scences were sensored.)
I also agree that -"Sasuke is a whiny emo little bitch who needs to be
slapped"
yes, slapped, until he faints.
Bleach is slightly better(in my opinion) because of the style(art)
and some other things..

Bleach and Naruto are nice anime/manga but they are waaaaay overrated.

Even though I'm not following up on Bleach and Naruto right now, I can understand why those two series are so popular. Ninjas and shinigamis that have cool swords with multiple abilities are interesting to read about. I'm in that same group (except I started hating Bleach when my brother complained about a bunch of aspects in the manga and I realized that he had some VERY valid points). Now, One Piece is a bit different. I like it because it has action, some touching parts like Nami's and Robin's past, comedy, and moves along a storyline. Bleach really just has the "save the damsel in distress" arcs and no prominent. I liked Naruto, but I stopped reading because Inane is gone and so are their HQ releases. I'll catch up later when I feel like it.

Naruto was fine in the beginning, the zabuza arc was great, one of the two times naruto actually used his brains in the entire series thus far. The whole transforming himself into a shuriken and lets sasuke throw him was great use of techniques and strategy.
Though after that, he remained to be a complete idiot who doesn't know any other jutsu or even how to fight properly.
He just has unlimited stamina and never dies, wow at first, but then you know he'll never get seriously injured.
Despite the thousand clones he can make, he make them all throw crappy punches or kick, but no ninjutsu even though they each have their own chakra reserves.
Then he went off and trained with one of the best ninja in konoha's history and what did he demonstrate after 2 years of training? Nothing, nadda, zilch.
I'm only still reading it so I can shove the flaws of the series to the die-hard fanboys. Seriously, it actually has fillers in the manga, pointless pages of walls, using old chapters to make an entire new chapter, heck, blank pages even!

The series went downhill in terms of story, but not everyone realize just how crappy the series has become. Seriously, I hate naruto, there's no growth with the characters. How do we make the characters appear to have grown? Kill someone off and they'll all have learned an important lesson except the main lead. roll
Bleach just went with the same formula too much, though I still want to find out what happens to the other characters so that's why I keep reading.

I read Bleach in hopes of seeing yachiru fight and use her bankai, no matter how crappy the series become, I won't rest until that happens. Naruto can just drop dead for all I care, seems like it's going to end in like a year or so anyways with all the older cast dead probably. roll eyes

I hate Bleach!!
Why? Because some the fightings are too long. It's ridiculous! In a real fight, that both parties aim to kill the each other, it should be end quickly. How could it drag until many chapters? Silly dead
