I once had so many videotapes. Even would record some of my game-plays and tv shows on tape.

But, looking at my collection of dvds, I could imagine that if they were all vhs tapes, I'd run out of space.

*sigh* watching porn will never be as exciting....

nowadays, you'll never have to sneak up late at night, go to the living room where the only VHS player is & sit so close to the TV either because you have the volume so low or have a short earphone so as not to attract your family's attention. all that constant looking at the stairs & pauses to hear for footsteps, as your heart races.

O yea I definitely remember. I still remember watching the old 1996 Dragon Ball VHS tapes, the days before FUNimation redubbed the show. And in my opinion the old voices (before FUNimation) are still the best in my opinion.

Anyway, back on topic, I miss recording my shows on VHS and I wish I still had my old copies so I could watch the old 90's commercials. Those commercials are vintage now and I wish I had listened to my gut and kept em but my mum wouldn't let me. ;_;

Now that I'm an adult and can make my own decisions, I bought myself a VHS player for my room and rebought some old Disney and other cartoon VHS tapes brand new sealed for shear nostalgia. I also bought a VHS player so we could watch our old VHS tapes of us when we were kids. Gotta get those transferred to DVD someday before they wear out.

Haha, yeah. I had a lot of issues with a print of Home Alone I had, though now I can't remember whether that was Home Alone or its eponymous sequel.

I remember how huge and dusty they were! I remember recording over them, over and over! lol i had such huge piles of tapes. I remember how grainy the image would get the more you move record on the videos. I remember the little tab that you could pull off to protect against someone recording over a treasured video. I remember sitting there and WAITING for the video to rewind. I remember how blockbuster would ask you to rewind before you return the video. lol I remember turning on the movie to rewind to get to a scene i wanted, since there wasnt the option of a menu list of scenes, even though that is bad for the tape... I ALSO remember how excited i was when dvd's first came to blockbuster store.... no
