I thought it was 8:30 in the morning, not 5:30...?

EDIT:
Quote
FOX 5 also spoke with some of Williamson's roommates, and they said they believed Eric was drunk on Monday morning when they were all leaving for work around 5 a.m. The alleged exposure happened around 8:30 a.m. Williamson, however, says he was drinking on Sunday night, but was not drunk on Monday morning.

This is all bullshit a man walking in his own home in the nude is a given.

saying things like child being scarred or whatever it was why are people so bothered they have to learn these things eventually anyway. Like with chicken pox catch it when your young.

so long story short the woman has to much free time in life so she decided to mess with someone elses. DESPICABLE!!!!!

I'm sorry, but where did you read that the woman or boy were "cutting through his lawn" anywhere? I haven't seen that written in any of the stories I've looked at. She could have been walking on the street, which is public domain.

Watch the video.

That's where I heard it, plus when you look at the positioning of the house it just makes this whole case pure insanity. When I first saw the headline I though that there might be some merit, especially if it was a small house close to a busy street where many people pass and can see through your window...

But this is not the case at all here. Plus, c'mon Liria! How can you be intentionally be exposing yourself at 5:30 AM? That is a contradiction in itself. If it were your intent to expose yourself you would be doing it in public at a time when people are actually out and about.
Quote from Liria
If that is a fact, then yes, I agree with your point. But I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere.

Even if she wasn't actually trespassing, which she was, he would still not be at fault.

I can understand that it is important to protect children's morals (regardless of whether or not if they are a twisted interpertation of society should work) but the woman's child was a seven year old boy. He saw nothing he hasn't seen before.

And if anything he probably found it funny that he saw some guy walking around naked. I don't see how he could be oh-so traumatized by seeing what he saw (from far away) that there would be a need to call the police.

@Liria: One of the articles I read said that the child (and maybe the mother as well) were walking through his yard.

Got it...

Thanks for that.
And for mentioning the videos, which I hadn't watched.

It's details such as these which are best left up to lawyers and people who actually have documentation of these details, and not just speculation by those of us on the outside.

Edit: I expect that the prosecutors will lose their case, unless there are a lot of details that haven't been released that prove the guy's intent to do it.

Either you are wrong the fox article had it's facts wrong.
But it was clearly stated in multiple articles that it was dark, and 8:30 in the morning isn't dark.

And even if it was 8:30 AM? So what. Trespassing is okay? While not putting your pants on in your own house is a crime?
Watch the video. When you see the guy's house it becomes very clear that there is just no way in hell he was doing it on purpose.

A few more details from the following article and videoclip.

The police entered his house without a warrant, and arrested him at gunpoint. I hope he hires a good lawyer and sued the pants off of the Faifax Police. No pun intended.

Found a nice quote

Quote
These are the kinds of arrests that happened in Nazi Germany and in the Soviet Eastern communist countries during the Cold War. America is becoming like the nations she abhorred.

It's al because of those ambulance chasing lawyers who don't get paid unless (the suer) wins.

Slightly off topic, but a friend of mine is the manager of a Panda Express in a mall. She received notice that she was personally being sued because one of her employees looked up from his work when a woman slid on a wet spot in the food court, about 15 feet away. She only slid a little, didn't fall, and no emergency personel were requested. She and her lawyer want a total of over 2 million from Panda, the adjacent restaurant, the mall, the third party security and staffing company, and everyone's grandmother. Oh, and it's at least six months later and all the security footage has been long erased.

I have a question. If this happened at 5:30 in the morning. What kind of insane elementary school is this? Starting so early. And if it happened at 8:30 that doesn't make any sense at all either. Unless Virginia is ridiculously different than where I come from neither time seems like a time you'd be walking your kid to the bus stop for school. So the question is. Why was she taking her kid to school so early or late?

In my area, 830A is about right for elementary school; middle school is earlier, and high school starts the earliest at around 715A.

Have there been any issues with female nudity? I'm guessing that if this were a woman, she'd be labeled a slut and all that would happen is people stopping by to check her out.

There are kids waiting at bus stops in my neighborhood at 8:30am when I'm on my way to work. (Tennessee) - Granted I'm a timezone over, but not an odd hour either way.

The headline is meant to make you sympathize with the man, which is what I did until I used common sense. People of course have a right to be naked in their own home, but if they're going to do that they should have the curtains closed. You do not have a right to walk around naked in your home if you have all the curtains open where everyone can see in. If you don't want people to be able to see in, then don't let them. He only has himself to blame.

Oh, so that's all that would happen? If it was a woman then all that would happen is the same thing that's happening with that guy, except she'd also be a slut and have people acting like you. It would still be her own fault though.

Buuut doesn't this man also have a right to his own privacy? I mean yeah walking around naked when people can see you is pretty dumb. But you shouldn't have to worry about being seen. And if someone happens to see you its their damn fault. People shouldn't be looking into other people's homes.
