haha. I know, it's not much. laugh I'm going through the suggestions that you posted. I added some to my "wish list", if you'd like to see which series I added there. biggrin

Okay, sure.. Btw, I noticed that you skipped almost all series with sci-fi, huh. I guess it's not really to your taste, I see. Perhaps you might want to be more specific in your original post as to what kinda "thought-provoking" topics you're looking for. There's manga about environmentalism, about deep space, about trauma(physical, sexual, psychological, etc.), differing value systems in a certain age and so on. And all of them can be thought-provoking about life but in different ways.

True. I am not a big fan of sci-fi. I didn't want to rule it out completely though, because some sci-fi I really enjoy. (which is why I didn't include that with what I don't want to read.) Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. dead

As for what type of manga the problem is, I am not looking for any topic in particular.. So I can't really explain in detail what I mean. I am just looking for stuff that looks good, and makes me think. If I had to elaborate though, I'd say I'm more looking for manga with moral conflicts, unusual ways of thinking, abnormal lifestyles, and things that counter the norm. Genre's don't really bug me, as long as I find the plot interesting enough to read. (And for the most part, I am pretty ok with different types of art styles too.) Atleast, I like to think so. laugh

If you put it that way, then many of the titles listed here will really make you think. ^^;;; Moral conflict? That's say hello to black jack, man.

And you should put that stuff about "moral conflicts" and so on in the main topic.

I'm annoyed, because the most thought provoking manga I can think of all seem to include rape :-/ Maybe that says bad things about me.

Milk Closet - as you try and piece your brain back together, I'm sure you will have some kind of thoughts. Possibly just 'wtf?', but that's okay too.
Zansho - not as thought provoking as Narutaru or Bokurano, but hey - utterly rapeless. Wings of Vendemiaire is also basically rapeless.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
'Basically rapeless' ... what I mean is that it has some fiddling between a doll and a corpse, but I'm pretty sure nothing actually happens there and shouldn't be something you should be turned off by - just thought I should give full disclosure (and that description makes it sound so much worse than it actually is).
