anyway this is a hard thing to debate, and I don't think there is a unique solution...it's like when a journalist writes something about politic, it's impossible to be completly objective. Every one has their own taste, and it's obvious that a
recommendation would be influenced from this.
The ranking system it's just a "tool" that everybody used based about what most of the people think is good, but obviously that doesn't make it "good".
Just to do an example, I think most of you have heard about "Fifty Shades of Grey", the erotic romance of E. James.
It has ranked in many cities one of the top romance. Now, if you ever try to read that, hoping you're not a bored middle-aged women, you can understand how bad and terrible is.
Or also if somebody ask me which one is better between naruto and bleach I'd say bleach, but many other people would say naruto and maybe it's better, but you can't know that I prefer sword fighting to do ninja things for example..
So you can understand that this system can't be ever trusted, cause it's obvious that there are many reason for the rate of a manga/book/film, and everybody has their own taste, so don't argue much about this sort of thing, I just try to read all of your recommandation and choose the one I prefer (I think everybody do that).
